Whenever you make an adjustment to this heater it makes a very loud beep. Not recommended for homes with sleeping babies/kids.

Long winter - burner running constantly - lost heat three times during these bad storms in N.J. After the second episode of many heatless hours, we decided to take a chance on this heater. My daughter had purchased two for her home in Delaware. I've always been afraid of just the thought of space heaters. No more. Our heat went out for five hours Monday - NEW burner actually needed a part. My husband and I sat comfortably in the living room with sixty-eight degrees heat - soul-warming/body-warming heat. This unit is so easy to use - simple directions (even for me - and I am 76) - attractive - matches my furniture - small in size - I should have done this a long time ago.

This lives up to expectations for my 1100 sq ft home, which is not all open space. It seems to keep the other rooms at a comfortable temperature as well. I usually close my office door and warm my main area up from the 68 economy setting to 70 at night for a while. Then, I lower it back to 68 before I go to bed and that seems to help stabilize the temperature throughout the night. My gas heater comes on sparingly that way and the cost is substantially lower so far this winter. It took me a bit to figure out the best way to utilize and maximize use for the temperature as well as for economy and comfort. Overall I'm quite happy with the quality and certainly the value.

We live in North Alabama in a large A-Frame. Although we don't experience the coldest winter's, it can get pretty chilly at times. In fact, our low last night was 19 degrees with even colder temperatures coming next week. When it gets this cold, both gas furnace's seem to run non=stop. We put this unit in the Great Room and another in the kitchen on the middle level. I was surprised to see both gas furnace's actually turn off at times. Even at 23 degrees! Hasn't happened in the 21 years we've been here. I would have rated this unit a 5 but, there is some noise. I guess this is normal. In fact, I just ordered another one for my workshop downstairs. Will see what the natural gas bill looks like this winter. Would certainly recommend this heater.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by SPOILTHEKIDS ???ehh I prefer the older models, better performance.
I personally love life smart heaters, This is my 3rd one but for some reason this heater doesn't heat as well as the past two that I have used. They are same wattage and infrared bulbs my past two I could set it at 68 degrees and be comfortable with the new heater I have to keep it at 75 to even come close to being comfortable. My assumption is Lifesmart is trying to cut costs and it's showing on their newer model heaters. Instead of purchasing a new one next time I will purchase an older model refurb.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by skippy This really works great
I bought this for our bedroom along with the Lifesmart Air Commander for the living room. This unit works really well. The key with these heaters is to understand they warm slowly but once they do it's a great kind of warmth. My wife likes it because it does not dry out the air. I found that if you start out on hi and bring the room up to 68 degrees and flip it to the eco setting it maintains our bedroom at night at 68 on only 500 watts. We also thought it was a great value compared to our furnace.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bubohio Love how hot this makes a room
Recently all of our town's stores ran out of heaters (Bad management?). We had temperatures around negative 15. We were in the middle of a propane shortage and our tank was down to 15%, no one could get any propane. (Bad management again?) I ordered 2 of these heaters online and got them in 7 working days. As soon as they showed up the Propane guy showed up. (again bad timing?) Free shipping and $50 off each one. They have 3 settings high, low, eco. They have a remote control and wheels on the bottom. They heat a room up quickly. Made in China. A good deal if you can get them around $100. With the cost of fuel x 3 (price gouging) somehow this is not illegal, the State says it's not regulated. I would suggest getting another source for heat, if you can't do a wood burner, these are pretty god and cheap. From OHIO
