I basically built a deck under mine. I used treated 2x4 with two joists across the base and 5/4 decking (8 boards) for the top evenly spaced and that works great so far. I don't have a pickup and did not want the hassle of messing around with a 4x8 sheet, the wood I used fit right in my SUV. They say to drill a hole in plywood for drainage anyway.

The base is plastic, strong plastic, but plastic nonetheless. I wouldn't put the shed on anything but a sturdy, solid, flat, level base - like 3/4" exterior plywood or a patio, as we did.

Definitely needs a wood base. Make the frame out of 2x4 boards with 2 cross beams equally spaced spanning across the width of your frame then cover with 1/4 inch plywood.

Plastic. It is not a square or rectangular skylight It's shaped like a 'V' and is placed as peak of roof. I think each wing of the 'V' is about 5"-6" high. It's made it through a rough winter where we had 30"+ of snow at one time so it is sturdy.

unfortunately, I don't have the details your asking for. What I can comment.
The box is approx: 3.5 * 6 ft.
After it was offloaded, I removed it from the pallet and used a 2 wheel cart under the narrow side to pull it around to the back of the house. It was unwieldy but not extremely heavy, a guess would be ~ 100lbs.
Hope it helps, possibly someone who still has the packing slip could provide the weight

The driver unloaded the truck with a lift-gate using a palled jack. He can push it fairly easy. Be nice to the driver. Smile! and ask if he would be able to drop the pallet where you would like. Maybe offer a bottle of water, cookies, of even some $. We had a cement driveway & walkway so he took ours to the back yard.

There are 2 boxes and the total weight as I remember from reading is about 200 lbs. But not an issue, you get the delivery and open boxes and move it in parts to where you want it. Easy enough for one person, 2 people 1/2 the time. If you are going to do projects you have to learn to be synergistic. By that I mean take your time and don't rush, you will come out with a better result and no injuries. Most Read More

Most of the parts are vinyl and will be exposed to weather when assembled so unboxing them is not a problem. Just make sure you keep all small parts and bags in the parts box in an inside location. Cover with the flattened boxes till you are ready to assemble. I recommend putting them in a shady area as too much heat may warp vinyl. Read Less

I would say it depends on how far away the shed is from the house. I personally have only one gasoline powered device, the rest are electric. If you store the gasoline in approved container away from heat you should be okay no matter where you store it. Baseline I think how you store it is more important than where you store it.

Your local fire or building code might have restrictions on how much of that stuff you can keep in a shed. I suspect that storing gas in a vinyl shed is no less dangerous than storing it in a garage with vinyl siding.

I have my gas cans in the shed and the fumes are a little strong when I open the doors, but they dissipate quickly. It is under my carport so it is not in direct heat or light. I can't remember what the recommendations are, but my guess is they don't recommend it for liability purposes. I've always kept my gas cans in an enclosure though.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great shed Love my shed, sturdy, spacey, top quality material February 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Just what I needed Perfect shed for what i needed it for! Assembly could not have been any easier. Definitely need 2 people to assemble at times. Other than that great product! February 23, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Extremely difficult to put together! The plastic forms do not retain their 90 degree form at the top of the structure, so the roof pieces do not match up. The walls must be pushed and pulled to meet the slots and screws they are supposed to match up with. The clips that attach the walls with the roof actually snapped out of their slots in our attempts to get the two surfaces to match. It was exhausting! February 1, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by solid she does as expected To about 5 hours to assemble by myself. Definitely helps to have help when doing the roof. Very pleased with the tightness of the shed and the overall construction. February 10, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by No surprises. My husband and I put this shed together in 6 hours. The only snag I had in following the picture directions was fitting the roof clips into their slots, but with a little experimenting, I finally got it. I wish they were metal and not plastic, but that is my biggest complaint. We poured the base slab before we got the kit. I would say if you wait, the floor panels are nicely marked where anchor bolts go, so you could sink bolts in the concrete right where they belong instead of drilling them later. I give it only 4 stars because I think the walls could have been thicker, but overall, I would recommend. May 14, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible Instructions Instructions were terrible and pieces were not labeled correctly. December 15, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice shed, perfect size for tight spaces Except for a roof panel that is somewhat warped and doesn't mesh well with the skylight piece, the shed is well made and everything that the reviewers said it is. Perfect size for the side yard service area. Plenty of room inside; property is super clean now with all the tools hidden away. October 1, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great quality, great instructions Even thought this came in two boxes it was pretty easy to assemble. A second person is helpful for most of it. The delivery was great and they put it in the garage for me. I put mine on a cement slab because I thought it looked better than a wood foundation. I was just glad to free up some space in the garage. July 29, 2014
