Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by liveoakjimmy I had previously purchased a 5X8 Lifetime shed (#6406) and have liked it pretty well so I returned for another. This time I bought the 7X4 1/2 shed. All went well except I had difficulty getting the screw holes to align for the roof panels. In particular, where the roof attaches to the front and back side walls there was a slight difference in spacing requiring the end screws to be forced in at an angle. Where the roof panels attach to the side walls, it was hard to get the screws to catch in the appropriate slots due to the roof not setting flat on the wall. The skylight was also difficult - I had to drill holes in the side walls to pull them (and the attached roof panels) closer together so the skylight would seat properly. I believe some of these problems originate in the corner wall panels which fold to 90 degrees on a flexible plastic hinge. This newly-folded plastic wants to remain open and hence the corners are not as tight as they should be for the roof and skylight panels to fit well. I believe the foundation was good - a concrete slab installed by a contractor. Coping with these issues would have been easier if I had helpers (as clearly recommended). But some engineering adjustments in the design could make the roof-skylight installation easier.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Homestyle Shed was a good price and exactly as described. Went together fairly easily and in an afternoon with two or three helping. Materials are sturdy and the color is nice. Holds more than we thought which was a bonus.

The shed looks really nice, but do not expect it to be as sturdy as wooden product. We built in standing wooden shelves all around, so as a "shell" it works just fine. We will see how it will hold over time and once it starts raining....

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by jo well it IS a storage shed...
If i had to do it all over again....I wouldn't. This was a tremendously tedious and patience trying project and yes I did follow the directions. Even then several times I had to back up a few steps to loosen some parts (even after the directions indicated that the parts could be tightened) because the holes were just off enough so they wouldn't fit or hold. I had to elongate holes just to get two parts, that weren't connected to anything else, to fasten. We're talking about plastic which is 99% of this shed. Its basically a large Rubermaid type container. While it's not bad looking its just not going to hold up as well as a wood shed but then again it doesn't cost as much. The flooring is nominal, so you'll need a full concrete slab or wood platform to sit it on and I screwed it into the platform we built because there's not much weight to it. I'm interested to see how it holds up in the winter when daytime rain turns into ice at night if some of these plastic parts pop off from each other.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Clglazer Love the shed - assembly not fun!
I love the shed and it is worth the effort it took to assemble it. It went together fine except the Skylight. If it is not perfectly aligned it does not go together properly. I think this shed would have been water resistant but mine will not. Took 2 men 5 hours to assemble

My husband and I put this shed together in 6 hours. The only snag I had in following the picture directions was fitting the roof clips into their slots, but with a little experimenting, I finally got it. I wish they were metal and not plastic, but that is my biggest complaint. We poured the base slab before we got the kit. I would say if you wait, the floor panels are nicely marked where anchor bolts go, so you could sink bolts in the concrete right where they belong instead of drilling them later. I give it only 4 stars because I think the walls could have been thicker, but overall, I would recommend.
