Customer Questions & Answers

how i can change the light bulb?

i can't replace the light bulb, nothing moves, i can't turn the metal part to no direction to take the old bulb out
Asked by: Anonymous
You loosen the bottom cap to remove the diffuser. You will see the lamp. Disconnect the power connector. There are three spring clips that hold the lamp in the fixture, pull one of them back and the lamp will come out.

Where do I get a replacement bulb TC55W G10Q

Asked by: Anonymous
You can order them off Search for "55-Watt T6". The current price at the time of this writing is about $16. You may also try your local Batteries Plus Bulbs or equivalent store. Hope this helps.

can I buy a new diffuser since it got broken accidently?

Asked by: snowmn
You'd probably have to contact Lithonia Lighting and ask them. But, I'd imagine it would probably be cheaper, easier and faster to just buy a new fixture for it's shade.

One just stopped firing. Bulb is fine. Light lasted 2 years. Should have lasted 20. Horrible product that obviously wasn't tested

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Nothing but problems Bought this light a little less than a year ago, the glass has a crack in it. Not from overtightening! It magically appeared one day after a few months. The light fixture instant on feature never worked properly (the incandescent part), and finally it burned out after less than a year.!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from failed after about 1 month We bought this light for our remodeled kitchen, the old fixture was gold and glass and we wanted an updated look. We had trouble finding one in this simple style in the store that held three standard bulbs so we settled on this one that uses a single special bulb. It looked great and threw a lot of light for about 1 month but then failed. The fixture is getting power so it is either the ballast or the bulb. It just does not light up but gets very hot when turned on. new bulbs are about $20.00 not ok after only 1 month and it might be the ballast. Keep searching for one that uses standard bulbs, we wish we did.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Replacement bulb is over $30 Looks great but when the bulb burns out, Home Depot doesn't carry it. You have to special order it from some other store online (if you can find it) and it costs over $30. Stupid!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Fails after a few years Bought two of these for the kitchen two plus years ago. One is working fine, the other just completely crapped out and it appears it's the ballast not the bulb. I was able to switch bulbs with the other working fixture and it's not working and there's power going into the ballast. Plus the bulb from the broken light has burn marks on it. Manufacturer warranty is only a year so i guess we're out a light. Will be buying from a different company this time. Very disappointed in this purchase, should have lasted longer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Buyer Beware These lights have a great look to them and are easy to install. After owning them for 3-6 months you will start to deal with multiply ballast failures. I own three lights and between them have had to warranty and replace ballast 7 times. After the warranty you are in real trouble because the replacement ballast cost 50 dollars if you can find them, which is more than the cost of the whole light. These lights are not worth the money, or frustration.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Weak ballast Bought this 2 years ago and it still looks nice (I like the frosted glass dome)...but...the ballast is weak. I'm buying my third ballast online right now...HomeDepot doesn't have a replacement so it was really tough to find a new ballast. You can't retrofiit with a different ballast. I'd recommend someone to find a higher quality light fixture with better ballast. I'm $70 in the hole - I could've gotten something better for probably $100-120.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ballast blew on one, other still working. This is a nice-looking light fixture. We bought two of them for a kitchen remodel. The light bulbs are not easy to change, however, seemed to last quite a while. The ballast on one of the fixtures just blew last week after using them daily for several years. For the price, they were ok for us. The light gets brighter and brighter the longer the fixture is on. And it's a heavy opaque glass, not plastic like other brands.
