These are direct wire, however I simply bought 3 prong, large guage plugs and wired them up to be plugged in to a standard outlet

However, we see best under the cooler light, 4100-6500k. The cooler bulb may seem harsh and will show more flaws in your skin tone. Colors will be true, just like natural sunlight. The difference between blacks and navy blues will be immediate, especially with 5000-6500k. I like to install these "daylight" bulbs in closets, garage, sewing and laundry rooms. They offer more efficient light in work spaces.
I do, on occasion, install daylight bulbs (mostly 5000k) in the kitchen (or other locations) for some of my senior customers who claim there is not enough light. Sometimes, just a bulb change can offer the light they need without the expense of adding more fixtures. Read Less

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Commercial fixture same as what was there before Same fixture as was installed before except a 4 bulb. Not all that pretty but easy to install as that is what came out. Shipped fast. Price was right. June 14, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 4 FT. FLUORESCENT WRAPAROUND LENS CEILING FIXTURE I purchased 9 4 FT. FLUORESCENT WRAPAROUND LENS CEILING FIXTURES to light up a large church dinning area using the daylight FLUORESCENT lamps and i am very satisfied with the lighting . July 15, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor lens fit The lens is designed to fit over the edge of the fixture, but the fixture is exactly 13" wide and the lens is exactly 13" wide. I could hang the lens in place but the slightest vibration brought it crashing down. I spend 30 minutes crafting some angle brackets and screwing them to one side of the fixture so that it would stick out far enough to give the lens something to hang on to. January 8, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good quality for a good price Good basic office lighting that is efficient and good looking. Being able to run with either two or four tubes makes them very versatile for this application. December 17, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Be Prepared for Short Lifetime (update) This is an update to a previous review of the same title. I put 14 of these in my shop. In 9 years, the ballasts have gone bad in 10 of them. Expensive problem. Some started failing after only a few years. During this period I estimate that I used the shop only about twice a week, on average. Buying a replacement ballast is a pain and requires removing the fixture and fiddling with the wiring on a bench and then replacing the fixture. I found it easier to simply replace the whole fixture for very little more money. So....if you select this fixture, be prepared to replace it in a few years. FYI - I have replaced more fixtures with bad ballasts than I have bulbs in the fixtures by far. I agree with other comments that for the price, you would hope for better quality in the product.
