However it is not limited to that application. I have seen it used effectively in others. I can envision it being used to pump water that originated it a washing machine in an application where there is no sink. However the way you phrase the question brings me a little concern. The pump is installed as part of your waste system regardless of what fixtures it services. Each state will have codes that specify how it needs to be plumbed and vented. The washing machine will also have both capacity and plumbing requirements that must be adhered to. So again, I can see applications where this pump will service a washing machine but it is not as simple as running the hose from the washer into this and then running a line into the drainage system. It would need to be plumbed in as part of the waste system in a thoughtful, safe and compliant manor. Read Less

Answer:
Depends on your definition of hot. As residential hot water is 120F you can certainly use it for that. However if for example you are using it to pump away water from a commercial coffee maker that is in excess of 200F you may want to run this by Franklin's engineering department . Feel free to give me a call. Chris 978 651 3301

Answer:
Little Giant makes pumps but sources the tanks, so they do not offer them separately. I am sure you could special order it as a part. However Home Depot does not offer this part on their sight and if would be expensive. We do get returns on these that are unsaleable due to packaging damage. If you want to give me a call take your info and call you next time we get one. Chris 978 651 3301
