It’s a simple, easy, and low cost way to save energy and add light automation to your home. Install a Maestro Occupancy Sensing Dimmer and lights turn on when you enter the room, and then turn off automatically after you leave. The dimmer works just like a Lutron Maestro dimmer, gradually turning lights on and off, allowing your eyes to adjust to the new light level. Use the rocker to adjust the light level for any activity, or set the preset level to ensure lights always turn on to your desired light level. Equipped with ambient light detection, you can customize your sensing dimmer to detect daylight so lights don’t turn on with enough natural light in your room. Keeping the sleek design of the Maestro family, Lutron sensors will match the decor of any room in your home. Install it in the laundry room for added convenience when your hands are full, or in the kids’ rooms and never worry about lights being left on by mistake. Answer:
Regular flourescent fixtures do not support dimming. What you want is the Maestro motion sensing SWITCH, which does not dim. MS‑OPS2H Works with fans too.

Answer:
Unfortunately there is not. The companion product for this occupancy sensor is the MA-R-WH which does not have an occupancy sensor on it.

Answer:
Yes. You would replace one switch with this sensor. The other switches get rewired in special way. It doesn't require NEW wire, just an unusual wiring of the existing switches. The manual explains this process, but if you don't have good electrical skills, you might want some pro help.

Answer:
This product will work in a 4 way setup however, it cannot work in a 4 way with traditional switches. You would need to change out the other two switches in the application to the Maestro companion dimmers which would be model number MA-R-WH.

Rated 4.1 out of 5 by 43 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fantastic Motion Sensing Light Switch I purchased this to automatically turn on the lights in my garage. It works even better than I intended. I knew that since it was right by the door, it would turn on the overhead LED lights as I walked into the garage. I also expected it would sense my car driving in, and turn on the lights before I could open the door and get out of my car. What I didn't expect was that it even senses the garage door opening, as it gets near the top of the track, and flips on the overhead garage lights as I'm beginning to pull the car into the garage. I'm extremely pleased with the way this device works. August 23, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Maestro 150-watt dimmer/occupancy sensor I like this, however, I had to replace it several times, so much so that I started keeping a log of how often. The problems consisted of pieces inside would break off; to the light would not come on at all; if I closed my bedroom door the bathroom light would come on; to NOW the light turning on by itself in the middle of the night. Living alone, can you imagine how that feels? You're sleeping in bed and the master bathroom light comes on.....my goodness who's in my house! Not cool! Once every 10 to 11 months it would start acting crazy and I would have to have it replaced. Very expensive! Would I recommend this product....only once I let the purchaser know what problems I have had and presently having now. December 3, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Chicago Worked great. Easy to install and set up. Would buy again. September 27, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by didn't work for me - buzzing or hum sound when LED light was turned on not sure if this is common, this switch when turned ON (any of the settings, except OFF) would hum or buzz, slight sound but I know this would irritate me and packed it up and returned it asap didn't want to bother opening other packages and trying them out, will just wait until I hear or see someone who is over whelmed with their purchase paid more than I would normally and thought it would have been awesome - sadly disappointed August 31, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful product! I've used several Lutron products in the past few years and they are all excellent products. I have used several of these programmed differently for rooms with different types of usage. I love being able to leave some rooms on and expect them to turn off on their own and other rooms just come on when I walk in, saving electricity as well as providing light when I need it and dark when I don't need it! You do have to be careful to ground the switch before testing it. The only one I tried before grounding blew out immediately and never worked again, but on all the others I followed the grounding instructions and all worked properly. Also, the programming was difficult for me to follow, but if I kept the instructions in my hand, I was able to do everything I needed to do. I highly recommend this excellent product July 5, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Product not as advertised by manufacturer I purchase two of these sensor dimmers for the top of the stairs (Front and Basement), then a companion dimmer for the front one which is a two way... They work fairly well but the sensor range is not as advertised... It is supposed to be 30 ft horizontal, 4 ft vertical, yet with the sensor set to highest sensitivity it will not detect anyone coming from the bottom of the stairs until you are on the last step at the top which is right in front of the sensor... Planning to return and purchase another brand... May 24, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A new member to the Maestro Family; the CFL/LED Occupancy Sensing Dimmers This is the new addition to the Lutron Maestro family, the MAESTRO 150-WATT SINGLE-POLE/3-WAY CFL-LED DIMMER WITH OCCUPANCY SENSING technology. Technology is advancing everyday, and it makes our lives more easy and convenient. Very easy to install and to program with various features. It turns ON and brightens gradually, and turns OFF with gradually dimming. It also works as an Occupancy sensor with various time outs. Daylight sensor is another feature, it will not turn ON at day time, if you set that feature. February 24, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by An occupancy sensor with loads of extras This occupancy sensor works very well and has a number of great features. 1. It can be set to a specific dimness level. The dimming works with both CFLs and LEDs. 2. It can wired to a single pole or a 3-way circuit. 3. There is a manual on/off switch. 4. It has a light sensing ability that can be used to prevent it from turning the lights on during daylight. Moreover, it has the ability to learn when those times are as you turn it off during full daylight. 5. All of the settings are adjustable. I have it in a laundry room, and it is behind the dryer in what would seem to be a defilade that would prevent it from working. But it has a wide sensing angle and thus works quite well. If there is any problem with this switch, it's the inclusion of the dimming capability. For an occupancy sensing switch, it's largely unnecessary in my view. February 9, 2015
