Product Overview

Coordinating Claro wall plate and accessories sold separately. Let Lutron Maestro CFL/LED Occupancy Sensing Dimmers turn the lights on and off to your favorite level. It’s a simple, easy, and low cost way to save energy and add light automation to your home. Install a Maestro Occupancy Sensing Dimmer and lights turn on when you enter the room, and then turn off automatically after you leave. The dimmer works just like a Lutron Maestro dimmer, gradually turning lights on and off, allowing your eyes to adjust to the new light level. Use the rocker to adjust the light level for any activity, or set the preset level to ensure lights always turn on to your desired light level. Equipped with ambient light detection, you can customize your sensing dimmer to detect daylight so lights don’t turn on with enough natural light in your room. Keeping the sleek design of the Maestro family, Lutron sensors will match the decor of any room in your home. Install it in the laundry room for added convenience when your hands are full, or in the kids’ rooms and never worry about lights being left on by mistake. Answer:
Regular flourescent fixtures do not support dimming. What you want is the Maestro motion sensing SWITCH, which does not dim. MS‑OPS2H Works with fans too.

Answer:
Unfortunately there is not. The companion product for this occupancy sensor is the MA-R-WH which does not have an occupancy sensor on it.

Answer:
Yes. You would replace one switch with this sensor. The other switches get rewired in special way. It doesn't require NEW wire, just an unusual wiring of the existing switches. The manual explains this process, but if you don't have good electrical skills, you might want some pro help.

Answer:
This product will work in a 4 way setup however, it cannot work in a 4 way with traditional switches. You would need to change out the other two switches in the application to the Maestro companion dimmers which would be model number MA-R-WH.

Maestro 150-Watt Single-Pole/Multi-Location CFL-LED Dimmer with Occupancy Sensor - Snow is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 46.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Motion Sensing Light Switch I purchased this to automatically turn on the lights in my garage. It works even better than I intended. I knew that since it was right by the door, it would turn on the overhead LED lights as I walked into the garage. I also expected it would sense my car driving in, and turn on the lights before I could open the door and get out of my car. What I didn't expect was that it even senses the garage door opening, as it gets near the top of the track, and flips on the overhead garage lights as I'm beginning to pull the car into the garage. I'm extremely pleased with the way this device works.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from didn't work for me - buzzing or hum sound when LED light was turned on not sure if this is common, this switch when turned ON (any of the settings, except OFF) would hum or buzz, slight sound but I know this would irritate me and packed it up and returned it asap didn't want to bother opening other packages and trying them out, will just wait until I hear or see someone who is over whelmed with their purchase paid more than I would normally and thought it would have been awesome - sadly disappointed

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works wonderfully i'm an electrician by trade and I so enjoyed the instructions with this one. I tried the motion sensors years ago and they would not be consistent. But these are the cats meow and really makes me wonder how long before light switches are obsolete. Instructions are thorough and these things are configurable into any way you want them to work. Easy to use with a little thought and instruction reading. And they are teachable if you want to adjust them more! It is a light switch though, so you must have a little Handyman in you to instal them. So don't loose the instructions and don't just look at the pictures. You need to read what it says too. Above all, be safe...

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Need Neutral Wire version First and foremost, Lutron is THE company to go with for dimming anything. That said, I'm anxiously awaiting the neutral wire version of this dimmer. I've run into scenarios with a few LEDs that don't actually turn all the way off if this dimmer is used. The cause is simple, it's feeding current for the motion detector through the fixture. This is very normal for "old world" dimmers, before LED dimming became a thing and completely acceptable, that said, we need to move forward. Most houses built post 1999 will have neutral wire availability in the switch boxes (thank you romex) and this is a godsend for the newer lighting technologies. I'd recommend this dimmer for specifically stated compatible LED light sources but beyond that wait for the neutral wire version of it.
