Customer Reviews

Maestro 2 Amp Single-Pole Vacancy Sensing Switch - Light Almond is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Confusing directions, maybe you want MS-OPS2 I bought one of these without understanding the difference between two similar products. The packaging is misleading, although the description on the Home Depot website is quite clear. There's two similar products: MS-VPS2 "vacancy" sensor. You turn on by hand, it turns off after a programmable delay when no motion is detected. Good luck figuring this out from the description on the package or the directions in the package. Fortunately, the Home Depot website description is quite clear about what this product does. MS-OPS2 "occupancy" sensor has several modes. The default is it turns on when it detects motion, stays on for 1,5,15, or 30 minutes (programmable). The installation directions make no distinction between these two products (one set of directions for both products). However, the "modes" available for MS-OPS2 are not active for MS-VPS2. After considerable frustration I returned the MS-VPS2 to Home Depot and then discovered the difference between the two products. I got a MS-OPS2, installed it easily, and it's working fine. I didn't have enough experience with the MS-VPS2 to give it 5 stars, but it certainly seemed to do what is advertised. One possible drawback is that you must have a good view of the entire room from your wall switch or else it will turn off if it can't "see" you.

I can only get it to shut off after a set amount of time has gone by. I am still pleased since no one in my family can seem to turn off the bathroom light.
