Mine is on a kitchen counter. The only obstacle is the cabinet above the machine, it's not quite high enough. I simply sit it closer to the edge of the cabinet, but solidly on the cabinet and I can open the top to remove the ice.
the approximate dimensions are 10 or 11" wide, 12 or 13" deep and about 12 " high.

I didn't measure it exactly, but it's about 12-14" wide and 18'-20" tall. It fits well on a kitchen counter. It is a convenient size and doesn't take up a large amount of room on the kitchen counter. Ours fits in quite nicely.

I use mine in the kitchen and in wifes sick room. It is about 12.5 inches tall 10 inches wide and fits on most kitchen counters. The bottom of our cabinets is 14 inches above the counter and there is plenty of room. We use a lot of ice and it works quickly and well.

The water is added to the holding area that is directly under the ice basket. Simply lift the lid, remove the basket and add the water to the line. It holds about 10 cups (80 ounces) / 2.5 liters of water. This will make a bit more than 2 full baskets of ice.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by So far so good... Only 2 weeks, but it made ice in only a couples of minutes. August 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Just what one needs to beat the heat This ice machine is an incredible deal for the price. It has been an unusually hot summer in NYS and rather than constant trips to the store for ice, it makes it 24/7 for you. The really neat feature is that if you do not use the ice right away then it reuses the melted ice to form new cubes. It actually only stores a couple of cups worth however simply removing the ice made and placing it in the freezer, freezes up the tray to make more. It is fast making as well. I literally plugged it in, filled it up, and within a few minutes had the first set done. If it broke tomorrow, I would re order another one immediately as my kids are now drinking a lot more water! July 27, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best tasting ice!!! Love how fast it makes ice and the amount it makes. It does not take much room on the counter and it is so simple to use. The amount and quality of ice is wonderful. I love the taste of ice, I know ice is ice, but the little hollow bullet cubes and awesome. August 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Makes alot of ice in short time Have been using since the first day It has been making a lot of ice continually. Use it almost every day. Our Kenmore refrig. does not make enough ice for 2 people is the reason why I bought the ice machine. My husband turns it on and leaves it running, always has ice ready to use. So far it has worked great. August 16, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Too slow and not enough This was a gift for my boyfriend. He said It makes ice too slow and in very small amounts. He was disappointed it does not keep the ice cold, you have to immediately transfer the ice to your freezer. August 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by my best friend This is my second unit. The first ran 24/7/365 for 3 years. We have high mineral in our water and I believe that's what killed it. Filtered water this time. Leaves freezer room for food. Love it. August 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Ice Maker, Lots of ice quickly. This is a great little ice maker. It makes ice in 2 different sizes. The first few batches the ice is "wet" and will stick together if you are going to store in a freezer, it's best to let ice cycle a few time before using the ice, you will get a "drier" ice that stores better. I use the ice maker for my home bar and camping. And have great success and enjoyment in both uses. August 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by does the job fast. Makes ice fast. the one and only thing that is a small thing to me is that I wish the (very easy to use) drain was on the side , not the bottom of the machine. August 16, 2016
