CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 38 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome saw! This saw has great versatility and strength. I clamped 4 2x12's together and cut 12 2" wide x 2" deep notches in them. The saw made accurate, straight cuts. It had had no problem plowing through this job. My new pergola turned out looking like professionals built it! Glad I took the chance on choosing this tool! June 2, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Amazing torque Was cutting old 4x8 sheets of 3/4" plywood into 3rds the long way. I picked up a cheap Harbor Freight saw on sale for $30. Cuts with that thing took 30 seconds...minimum. It didn't last 30 minutes before the motor died. Went to Home Depot to pick up another saw and was introduced to this "hypoid" saw. I didn't know a thing about worm drive and hypoid gears. I bought it and my first cut through a sheet of plywood took about 5 seconds. This saw is amazing. Powered right through the cut like it was styrofoam. I think I cut 10 sheets of plywood in the time I screwed around with 2 sheets with the Harbor Freight saw. It was so much fun, I was wishing I had more wood to cut. Awesome saw! Love it. September 11, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Saw. Great Results. This Makita saw is the best saw I've ever used. Yes, it's slightly heavier than traditional circular saws, but its the form factor that makes this saw! The cut line on the left side is easier to use. Makita did it right. I'm glad I didn't opt for a cheaper saw or a more expensive version. This is a very durable and sturdy saw. February 26, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by All time favorite I've owned a saw or two. This thing makes me smile every time I use it. Get it. April 30, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by weighs a ton extremely heavy, lots of plastic.............................don't drop it April 30, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Quality Circular Saw, Great Price. I bought this saw a few days ago and have already made at least 100 dimentional lumber cuts and saw is going strong. As for what "Shoeless" said about the angle not being at a perfect 90 degrees, it must have been his individual saw for mine is dead on. October 29, 2011
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great worm drive saw After using my original worm drive saw for close to 40 years ( still works great ) I decided to treat myself to a new one and since I like Makita I bought this one and found out what a difference a new one makes. It is a lot lighter than my old one and doesn't bog down or have any problems.I am very glad I bought it and just reinforces my belief in Makita products. 5 star tool for sure. December 12, 2011
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The power and durability I needed After researching saws for my project needs (cutting concrete/masonry blocks, affordability) I decided on this saw. I was concerned about durability with all the masonry particles that would be in the air and the sealed hypoid gear was the seller for me. This saw held up like a champ and I was not disappointed at all. After fitting an appropriate masonry/concrete blade I proceeded to make deep cuts for my retaining wall project. I did a combination of regular and plunge cuts and got superior results. I would recommend this to anyone who needs some power and durability in a saw. I know that I will use this saw for other projects and look forward to using it again. April 5, 2010
