Answer:
Dan, I'm thinking you are asking maximum cutting depth, if so, 2 3/8" at 90 degrees, 1 3/4" at 45, and 1 9/16" at 50 degrees which is the maximum for this saw. There is no over ride for the 50 degree setting as there is on some other saws. Hope this helps.

Mike, it's right up there with some of the other hypoid saws with a net weight of 15 pounds (6.8kg). While the saw is as heavy as some others, it is still a smooth cutter.

Answer:
Galaxy Traveler, This is a 15 amp hypoid saw which is about normal for most saws of this type. If you use a good 25 foot 14 ga. extension cord or 50 foot 12 ga. cord you would be in great shape.
Hope this helps.

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 47 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This saw rocks !! As a professional I own many saws! I bought this saw as a replacement for an old skill saw that I've had for many years. After using this worm drive type saw I will never go back to the old style skill saws again. Even though this saw is much heavier I have found it to be an advantage. This saw cuts straighter and with less effort then the old saws. Also with the blade being on the left side you can see what your cutting much easier. Makita is a very well known and trusted name in the industry and I would recommend this saw to anyone !! July 30, 2016
