So far I love the smoker, holds temperature nicely even in freezing temperatures. Smoke everything now, makes for a great dinner plus left overs for lunch meat. Would recommend to a friend. Only "problem" I had was some smoke leaking out from the door seal. Readjusted the door and that seems to be fixed. Not all drippings hit the pan either, found some juices to run out the front of the unit all over the patio.

Delivery was fast and the unit was very easy to assemble. I pre-seasoned it as the manual states and it got up to temperature in no time at all, considering it was 35 degrees outside. I have since made a pork butt and ribs and both were exceptional. The smoker works great and the outside never got hot to the touch, so it's very well insulated. I set an oven thermometer in the smoker and the temp stayed right on the money. Very good unit for the money. Make sure to clean up the walls and glass while it is still warm or you will have a black mess on your hands.

I read the instructions to the letter got it all set up and ready to smoke some meats and WOW it worked better than expected..... My first two items cooked were a couple of 6 pound Pork roast and I used a verity of the smoke ships and they come out just falling apart extremely juicy. I just put a Texas dry rub on them threw them on the rack and shoved that thermometer in their and let it go. I live in an apartment put the smoker on my balcony plenty of room and sat in the easy chair and kept an eye on it from my easy chair while watching the fights it doesn't get any better than that. It all worked outstanding the folks I gave some of the meat too said it was awesome that's why I had to make the second one.

this is my second master built smoker had to replace the first one after 6 years mainly my fault left it outside with out a cover was still working for the most part but decied i wanted a new one so got the new stainless unit with the RF remote. love it even more than the old one the only thing i will tell you is skip using the wood chips and get an amazn smoke tube 12 inch size and you will fall in love with your smoker. first think i smoked was a turkey for 18 hours and then today i am smoking ribs love this unit. i do recommend wrapping anything you can in tin foil to aid in the clean up

Got it and out of the chute...smoked ribs and a chicken...perfect! Tomorrow is brisket, more ribs and chicken...they can't get enough...it'll be fantastic this summer, too! And clean up is a snap! Thanks, Kids!

Very easy to assemble. Keeps it temp steady even on a very cold , and windy day. The remote has a long distance and is point on with readings on the smoker. The meat temp prob is a great feature. I would buy this item again.

I purchased this Master-built Pro Digital Smokehouse with remote recently and found it to be easy to unpack,assemble and use. The directions were very clear and easy to understand. I find the construction to be very good despite it being built in China. The temperature controller runs about 5 degrees hotter than what you set it for,but is easily compensated. Other than the temperature anomaly I really like this smoker. I would recommend it to anyone. Home Depot was prompt in their handling and shipping of this smoker to me. BTW, don't be concerned about cleaning the window, I used the dollar store version of "AWESOME ORANGE SPRAY CLEANER" and it cut through the gunk and cleaned the door window like new in 5 minutes.

I got this smoker for a Fathers day Gift and was excited to use it. Everything was easy to use and I was excited to start smoking some ribs. The first time I used it everything started off good but when I tried to use the remote for the timer and check the temp every once in a while the unit would power down on me. I figured it was something I was doing wrong so the 2nd time I used the smoker I made sure I read over the manual to make sure I was doing everything correctly. The 2nd time I tried Smoking a brisket, when I would hit the meat probe button on the remote the unit would power off. I would then need to un plug the unit and plug it back in to get it to turn back on. Then about 8 hours into the smoke the unit would just shut down randomly so we had to keep a close eye on it to make sure it would stay at temp. The 3rd time I tried using this smoker when I tried to set the temp and timer to pre heat the smoker it would beep and the display would go blank, after fighting with it for 10 minutes I finally got it to start heating. Through out the smoke the smoker would again randomly power down and I would have to un plug the unit and fight with the control panel to get it to turn back on.
If you google this model or look at other reviews a lot of people have problems with the smoker control panel going bad within the first year. The biggest issue is the fact the smoker only has a 90 day warranty so if the part goes bad outside the warranty then you would need to pay about 90$ for a new control panel and the shipping for it.
Another issue is the smoker is if its sunny out when you are using the smoker the lcd display that has the timer and temps listed is extremely hard to see. You need to shade it with both hand and get right on top of the display to see what it says.
My last complaint is the little amount of smoke the smoker makes. When you load the chips into the smoker it does not seem to give consistent smoke. Since the chips only seem to smoke when the heating element is on once the smoker gets back up to temp the smoke seemed to stop. When it did stop you cant tell if its because its out of wood or because the heating element was not on. You would need to open the door and pull out the ash try to see if there was still chips or if you needed to re load. The fix for this I bought a product called A-Maze-N Pellet Smoker. It uses wood pellets and fits inside the smoker. Once you light the A-Maze-N Pellet Smoker it will produce a constant smoke for 8 hours with out needing to re load chips every hour.
Luckily for me mine went bad within the 90 day manufacturer warranty and return period for Home depot. I was able to take mine back to the store and I got the new version part number 20072415 that has a different control system. Hopefully It last a little longer.
When the smoker would stay on it worked great, had a lot of room on the inside for a lot of meat. A built in meat probe and a timer with a temp alarm so hopefully the new model I bought Works better.
