My house was built in 1949, its walls are a gypsum lathe, course plaster and a finish layer. This combination has been very successful in destroying anything metal ever used to make a hole or cut a line. The only thing that works well is carbide tipped drill bits. Looking at making a lot of large openings so that I could get all my old steel water lines replaced, I bought these blades as they specifically say "for plaster". Don't know which kind of plaster Milwalkee tests them on, but it sure wasn't similar to what's in my house. I expected better then 11/2'-2' per blade. I will need to look for carbide coated blades if I ever need to do work like this again.(Let's hope not).
