Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by One Bit Holder I placed a phillips bit into the bit holder. It is still there, despite heroic efforts to remove. It moves about 1/16th out of the holder and will not budge further no matter what I've tried. Unfortunately I purchased as part of a set of impact bits and now an incomplete set remains and a bit holder with a stuck bit. Unhappy, and I've really liked Milwaukee in the past. Seems like a design problem, read above reviews. November 1, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by It does what its supposed to do... What more do you expect it to do? Its holds the bits tight and they won't fall out. October 15, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The Best This tip holder is better then the ones I have bought in tool stores in the last 35 years. The price is as low as any I have seen and it does the job. Installing cabinets I like how short it is so I can get my impact driver and 2 1/2" screw behind the face frame without having to go in at a angle. This tip holder is defiantly made for professional use and for anyone who does not wish to change tips easily. It keeps the tip where it is supposed to be. The tip is easy to remove with my wire cutters when it wears out. If someone is looking for a bit holder that the tips come out easily then they should look for one without a LOCKING clip that does what it is supposed to do ( Hold the tip ). Nothing is worse then when your running screws and you have to keep getting your tip out of a screw and put it back. I now have one in each of my 4 impact drivers and a few spares. September 24, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Magnet is too strong I went for this one instead of the standard size tip holder. A fair bit of warning: the magnet inside is a little too strong... im 24years old 190lbs and can never pull the bits out after putting them in without the use of pliers. It kind of makes the quick bit changes pointless because of the magnet strength. I tried removing the tiny spring retainer and even lubed it but ruled it out to be the magnet. I resolved my issue by sticking a little ball of plumbers putty inside to create a small gap between the bits and the magnet to reduce the magnet strength...dont know how long this will last but these things are cheap enough to replace.. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Holds bits secure. I often use Robertson drive screws in my projects. Robertson tips are designed to fit so snugly that after driving a screw, the insert bit usually stays in screw head instead of in my bit driver! Milwaukee makes the only easy to find (read, in the big orange store) 2" insert bit driver with a retainer ring as well as a magnet. Now, my insert bits stay in the holder and NOT behind in the screw. As a note, the retainer ring loosens up with use. The first time you remove the bit, it will be very still, but this is a feature, not a flaw. January 3, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best bit holder, Yet. Up until a year ago, I only used yellow ones. Once it broke, I replaced with the Shockwave. The reason I do like them may be a negative by others, but different applications require different uses. This magnet is really magnetic and I like that. Sure the bits are not easy removed without a pliers, but the fastener holding ability is a small trade-off in my applications. With the numerous impact cycles mine has been through, It is a good value. November 18, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Unable to remove bit I am unable to change bits. I inserted a Robertson #1 bit and no matter how I try, I cannot remove the bit. There are no instructions on the package nor on the Milwaukee web site. Neither are there any details to advise the user how the bit holder should be employed. April 28, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Changing bits I love the set but have not been able to change the bits. The one that was in the tip holder is still there. Thats one heck of a magnet. March 12, 2012
