Kinks in the store?

This question is from PRO 3/4 in. Dia x 75 ft. Commercial Duty Water Hose

I noticed that the way this hose is packaged, the male end is pressed against the hose in the coil forming a deep indentation in the hose. This amounts to a permanent kink within a foot or so from the end of the hose. I didn't know if this relaxes over time. Every hose in the store was like this.

Mine was that way as well but it relaxed after a few days of use, I'm sure yours will to but if not you can always take it back to the store & exchange it.

Answer:
the kink will disappear. Our hose was filling the pool and when we closed the gasrage door on it a few times , there was an indentation, which quickly went away.

Answer:
I did not notice this issue in my hose when I bought it, and I have had no issues whatsoever with any kinking because this is a really thick hose that I just cannot imagine would kink. I know it is a leap of faith to buy it and hope that the indentation would go away, but I would honestly expect that it would. I have had this hose a few years now without any trouble. Good luck with your decision!

I'm not sure but I think it's vinyl; it's very heavy and doesn't bend easily (good flow though).

Can anyone tell me why the water coming out of the hose is foamy, almost like soap bubbles for the first couple of minutes while using the hose?

Answer (1)

Answer:
The soapy bubbles are from water based lubricants that are used in the process of extruding the garden hose. They are not harmful. When using any hose, especially if water is standing for long periods of time, you should allow the water to run for a minute in order to flush any stagnant water. Thank you for shopping at The Home Depot.

Rated 3.9 out of 5 by 81 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Heavy duty 3/4" hose...very durable...fittings are very good quality This is a very good hose....but when filled with water is not very flexible. The reason is it is 3/4" in diameter .....you will need to roll it out and move it before turning the water on. Otherwise it delivers the maximum water where you need it. I returned a similar 3/4" hose made by another company....the fitting blew off the end of the hose after a few days! You will not have this happen with this hose. July 7, 2016

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Product Like this product, manageable, heavy duty, good quality. June 3, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Product Well worth the price. Other lesser hoses only last one season but this looks to last for many more. Lifetime warranty. It should.. May 3, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not Flexible The hose I purchased is rugged and I expect it to last but not as flexible as I had hoped. April 26, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not necessarily good home use product ...but not necessarily for home use. This is a super tough, heavy hose. It would be a good product to use for an interim connection in lieu of a PVC pipe application. It is not suitable for normal garden or lawn hose uses due to its weight, and difficulty coiling. It will coil ok on an open hose hanger, but is too long and heavy for average home garden hose roller reel. In addition, the pressed hose head fitting appeared to be out of alignment and tended to leak. Quality rating based on poor connector fit, weight for home use, difficulty coiling. Value rating based on homeowner use. Probably great product for commercial use by strapping young fellas. December 29, 2015
