When the motion is activated the light will cycle on and off for a few minutes, then go off until the motion is tripped again. I've adjusted both sensitivity and time and no luck.

I had the same thing happen: the answer appears to be that they don't work with LED lights. They seem to only work with the regular lights.

Answer:
Since you have just installed a new fixture, I would recheck to make sure that there is power going to to the unit first. I am not sure why the 60 WATT bulb is not working as this fixture takes a medium base 60 WATT bulb. I do not recommend a LED bulb. The instructions say to have the light set to manual turn light on/off within 2 seconds, I've tried over and over but it keeps reverting back to sensor movement only. Any ideas on how to override this to where I can have it on continuously?

Chris, I've had the same problem for the longest time (over a year), and I've also had a problem with the light not staying on very long (even with the Time set to max) when on the motion sensor. Chris, I've had the same problem for the longest time (over a year), and I've also had a problem with the light not staying on very long (even with the Time set to max) when on the motion sensor. I called the manufacturer's Custmer Service and they were very friendly and we tried to figure it out. They even sent me a replacement light thinking it was a bad sensor (which it wasn't apparently - see below). Nothing seemed to work.
But in the last couple nights I've done some things that seems to have solveld the problem(s):
1. I switched from Compact Flouresent Light (CFL) bulbs to LED bulbs (my local Home Depot had them on sale for $2.49 for 40 Watt equivilent thanks to a program from the electric utility). This "faster" bulb (without the milliseconds delay the CFL takes to start) seems to not interfere with the On-Off-On at the switch needed to put the light into Manual mode. (Maybe it wasn't the speed of the bulb but the different shape of the bulb that changed the light pattern on the wall - see Item 2 below).
2. (But the light still wasn't staying on that long in manual mode) So next I tried put a small sliver of black electrical tape over about 1/8-1/4 of the Daylight Sensor underneath the light (where you adjust the Time and Sensitivity). To be clear: I did not completely cover the sensor; just a little bit.
(My house is a light yellow and I wondered if the light itself might be throwing off the Daylight Sensor).
And as of tonight, this seems to have solved that second problem. So far so good at least. I will find out tomorrow whether the daylight sensor still works with that tiny part of the sensor eye covered.
My only complaint now is that the Field-of-View of the Motion Sensor is only 110 degrees instead of 140 (or more); for where my lamp is placed a wider field would be better.
Good Luck. Read Less

Answer:
Chris,
When trying to put the light into manual override, the light needs to be on. Then you would want to turn the light off/on quickly. Also because of the photo cell the light can only be overridden once it is dark. If you have any other questions please let me know.
Thank you,

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great light for the price Using at seashore because anything not plastic rusts! The motion detector is adjustable and is working very well. The install was to replace existing lights so it was easy. Just remember to screw in the screws that hold the light fixture into the clamp/cross before screwing the clamp/cross to the outlet box! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Newport CoastalMarina 110? Outdoor White Motion-Sensing Lamp While it looks great and won't rust - it's made out of plastic - it will not work with a LED bulb. The old fashioned light bulb is what made it function. And once we figured that out, it functions great! October 23, 2015

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Light for a corrosive enviroment Easy to install, looks good. Hope it can handle the coastal environment, but it should as it is plastic. August 11, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect style and function for my needs. I ordered the white Marina motion sensor outdoor light online as my local store did not carry this model in white. I received it in a timely manner and installed it the same day I got it. I am not particularly handy with tools but must say that I did not have any problems as it was a replacement so the wiring and box thing was already there. It looks great as it has a bit of a retro look. Fits in with the style of my house which is a 1940's bungalow style in the Pacific NW. The only thing I woud have liked with this light would have been a dusk to dawn feature. However the motion sensor works fine. June 12, 2010
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by This light does not work well We had two of these light installed outside of our garage. Sometimes they go on other times you could wave your hand in front of it and nothing happens. One no longer works. Do not buy these. We paid to have them installed, they are worthless.
