The acrylic would need to be mounted to the existing backboard, otherwise we would recommend polycarbonate.

Rated 3.6 out of 5 by 11 reviewers.
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by You get what you pay for I had bought luxan sheets prior to this and was lulled into thinking working with plastic was easy. There is a pretty significant drop in quality between this and the more expensive sheet material. By comparison the acrylic was harder to cut and CONSIDERABLY more brittle. In fact at some point it felt like i didnt need to cut it, I could just snap it with my fingers. One of those definite you get what you pay for scenarios. August 31, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Shipping Was Tough On This.... I purchased this sheet to protect a nice veneer table top in my office. It needed to be cut down to size. Although very well wrapped and packaged, the corners were damaged, one broken off in an approximately 2"x6" triangle. Fortunately, the three out of four broken corners did not exceed the trim dimensions, but in the future, I'll find a store that has these listed in stock and select an unbroken one. July 28, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Damaged product Was broken about 6 inches from bottom and was delayed in delivery, order was not shipped when it was supposed to be. December 17, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Acrylic Sheets - Easton Home Depot Manager Jess WAS AWESOME! We really like the acrylic sheets for what we use them for; research posters presented by students and faculty in our hallways. However, it should be noted, that packaging needs to be improved by about 100%. Bubble wrap should be placed between each sheet that is packed in one box with the edges cushioned with bubble wrap. The hard cardboard that is currently used and doesn't fit the entire length of the boxes are a joke. February 7, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Made a good bird cage awesome Bought these to replace the wires in our bird cage. These look awesome. We can see right through the cage out the window. Birds have lots of light and sing more. We left the top 1/4 mesh to allow air exchange but that isn't noticeable compared to the rest of the cage. Was easy to cut with a jig saw and install with screws- drilling holes big enough to prevent cracking when applying force was necessary. Easy to keep clean with water and vinegar. No scratches in 2 years use. March 18, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Looks good The plexiglass on the sign out front of our church was cracked. So I replaced both sides. The best price I found. I cut it with my tile saw and it made straight even cuts. June 3, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Problems I bought 3 of these sheets to attach to metal basement window well coverings. Our window wells collect everything from crickets to tarantulas to mice; attaching clear sheeting over the grates seemed like a good solution. They were delivered in a timely fashion and the packaging was in good shape, Unfortunately the sheets themselves were cracked and chipped pretty badly along one edge (all sheets). Since the grates were semi-circular in shape, much of the destroyed areas would be cut off anyway. I made do with them rather than return and re-order, as I expected I might have the same problem with the next order and I really wanted to get this project finished ASAP. The chipped out areas aren't that visible but they are there and they allow bugs to still get in. By the way, I found that cutting with a jig saw works well if you use carbide tile cutting blades. For drilling, concrete drill bits work well. Regular bits will crack it (there are videos online). All in all it seems like a good product, although more brittle than plexiglass I've used in the past. If they arrived in decent condition I'd recommend them and probably give a 5 star review but due to the condition received I would caution against buying these. July 1, 2014
