If you need a sprinkler that will break (top pops off) then this is the product for you. I bought 3 of these. The first two, the sprinkler would get stuck. You could move it by hand to get it going again, but eventually the top just pops off while you're trying to move it, streaming water straight up. Which will get you soaked. The 3rd one. The 2nd time i turned it on, it was working fine. Came out 15 minutes later to see water just spewing out the top.
Although it's my own fault, that I purchased the product more than once expecting different results. Just buy a quality brand in ground sprinkler and adapt a hose to it. More initial work, way less overall work.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Arbeewifi Great potential, not a great sprinkler
I absolutely hate myself for just driving to Home Depot this afternoon and buying another one of these sprinklers! So why did I do it? Because I really like the sprinkler, the patterns are a perfect match for my yard, big areas and tiny areas and it MISTS FLOWER BEDS REALLY WELL! B U T, and that is a big B U T, it isn't made very well, this is my THIRD one, the other two broke, one just quit going back and forth and the other literally exploded just above the setting rings and shot a stream of water 15 feet into the air which I didn't notice for over an hour, flooding my flower bed, plastic pieces were lying all around the spike. Yes, they leak a bit, they don't last very long, they feel a bit fragile and getting a look inside one (an opportunity afforded me by the one that exploded) I see a SUPER SKINNY plastic pin that actuates the back and forth that looks like it would break in a stiff wind. "IF" this sprinkler were better thought out, made entirely of brass, and cost $100, I would likely buy it, I like it that much. But as-is, it is too expensive to be this fragile and un-reliable. We'll see how my third one holds up, three in less than two seasons. So, there ya go..;

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Beutd Does well, some issues
Good spray options and rotates nice and evenly. But hard to control spray amount (the spray amount control settings really don't change the volume significantly) and controlling radius is easy (but is not obvious). I also found that the volume of water to connected sprayers was much lower than if they were directly connected, so that feature was not of much use.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Wonka13 Quiet Operation
The gear drive provides a very quiet operation over the oscillating type sprinklers and this model has many spray patterns and spray droplet patterns to fit nearly any watering situation. When installing, Do Not push on the top, step on the metal spike flanges.
I rated the quality as Fair because the first one I owned broke after less than 100 hours of operation. The part that is supposed to adjust the sweep broke and the sprinkler did not reverse itself. Also the metal spike is a soft metal and easily bent when trying to insert it into hard soil.
The cost was under $20 so I opted to try it again, especially since it was the only gear drive available. I hope it lasts longer than the first.

Much better than cheaper optipns. Nice option on spray patterns. Own several of these, don't let them stay out in freezing conditions: cracked body. Start to stick and need cleaning/lubrication after a year of daily use.
