Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointing! I received this bench as a gift in honor of my late mother, that always used to love her garden. My friends even had a little plaque engraved with her name on it that I put on the back of it. I made a little sitting area complete with a fire pit and put my bench there. It has only been a year and the other day my dogs knocked it over and the legs broke off! I'm so disappointed! At least no one was sitting in it when the legs broke off! I would expect better quality from Home Depot. March 9, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by This product is of very poor quality. The wood is of such poor quality, I decided to replace it with high-quality oak. After weeks of work, I was putting the final touches, when the front-left iron leg snapped off. Now, I’m trying to find a local welder, who can fix it. I have too much invested in it so far to scrap it. I may have to buy another one just to get a replacement leg. Now, I'm thinking of using it only for decoration, due to its questionable structural integrity. December 29, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This bench looks great Well made then others we have looked at. Seating is just right. April 10, 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not worth it Although this bench looks nice and appears fairly sturdy, there are a couple of major problems. The first time I ordered this, the seat back was already broken upon arrival, causing me to have to call Home Depot to return the item and re-order. The second bench arrived looking similarly worn from the shipping process (the box was all chewed up) but was actually intact. HOWEVER, we discovered at the end of putting it together that there are no holes in the seat slats where there need to be in order to screw down the seat support bars. We ended up having to drill them ourselves, and being that we are not that handy we managed to drill through the seat slats in two spots. Plus, at least three of the screws provided broke off in the wood when we were screwing them in! The seat looks nice, but the low quality of the hardware and instructions, and the fact that we now have brand new bench with holes in the seat, merit a low rating. October 11, 2011
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Average Quality, But Good Value At this price point, this bench is obviously not the highest quality bench of this type available, but it is a good value, especially if intended for occasional use. Other reviewers have complained about the sturdiness, but I see no issue with it in that regard for this 185-pounder and a quest sitting simultaneously. In short, the bench is fairly attractive and performs its intended purpose well. April 3, 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by not a good product not a good product - cheaply made. not a good product - cheaply made - is this enough text now December 18, 2012
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not a well built product It's called a "Park Bench", indicating it's suitable for the out of doors. It's questionable the finish will last a season. The screw holes are unfinished making the wood susceptible to moisture damage. The cast side piece was bent. Not the quality I expected from Home Depot. May 27, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice looking and good quality I like the design and appearance, it's sturdy and made from quality materials. Only negative is the center brace, should have been stronger material and the brace should have come up on the back side for added support. January 8, 2013
