Hot/Cold direction???

Should hot water be to the front or back? Are there any decals (red/blue) to show hot/cold direction?
Asked by: CMO
Hot back, cold front. If you have the valve facing the front it would be left hot, right cold.

Spray button needs lots of pressure

In order to use the spray function I need to have a significant amount of water pressure or the button will not stay depressed. And it goes back to normal (aerated) flow very easily and whenever the water is turned off. Is this normal or do I have a defective pull down wand? With most faucets like this that I have used, the button to switch between spray and normal (aerated) flow stays in whatever position you last used. The others have also not required significant water pressure to work in spray mode.

Faucet itself is loose. How do I repair this? Also, soap dispenser isn't working. I have plenty of soap, I have rinsed the top out and water comes thru, yet no soap. I'm at a loss. Please assist me.

The make an undersink wrench that is specfically designed to mount single how units. I just used industial grade needle nose and a pipe wrench. It a pain in the rear, eventually you'll get it. Call their customer support..Their send you a new dispenser. It's likely that you don't have enough liquid detergent in there.

Customer Reviews

Apex Integrated Single-Handle Pull-Down Sprayer Kitchen Faucet with Soap Dispenser in Stainless is rated 2.8 out of 5 by 43.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Leaks at the handle This faucet looks amazing, but after only 3 years it is steadily leaking at the handle. We have tried to remove it and clean per the instructions, but it would not resolve the issue. On a side note the soap dispenser broke after only a few months. Very disappointment with the durability.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Faulty, leaky faucet !! Similar to many of the other reviews above, After just 1 month, started to leak internally and found that the aerator/strainer needed to be replaced. Was sent a new one from manufacturer and worked for a while. Now just 4 months later, my wife discovered it has been leaking from below cabinet and totally ruined the base of our cabinet and it is now cracked. It started leaking from the internal fittings and drips down both the cold and hot water braided lines. After reading several reviews, many others have same issue and just waiting now for the soap dispenser to stop working. VERY disappointed with the overall quality.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Faucet Handle/Soap Dispenser Problems We purchased this faucet and soap dispenser less than one year ago. The faucet itself works as expected; however, a small gap has emerged between the handle and the main body of the faucet. This in and of itself hasn't had any consequences yet, but it doesn't look nice. The internal brass colored tread is literally exposed. Like several other consumers, we too have experienced a problem with the soap dispenser. The soap dispenser stopped pumping soap regularly a few months ago. When we pumped it rapidly, the soap would dispense on occasion. Now though, it doesn't pump soap at all. Overall, we are disappointed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Faucet works Great Disappointed by soap dispenser The faucet works fine. I am highly disappointed with the soap dispenser. Like many, the soap dispenser worked fine at first; however, stopped dispensing soap within the first six months. We are a family that washes dishes frequently in the kitchen sink, hence why we purchased a faucet with a soap dispenser AND made a permanent place for the soap dispenser on our new counter top. I would very much like to have the soap dispenser working again and came to the website to ask for Peerless' assistance in obtaining a new soap dispenser.

After about 6 months, due to the hard water, faucet head filled up with calcium deposit, I called the manufacturer and a new one was sent to me. I had to do this for about 3 times. I haven't called any more and the head only lets out a minimum amount of water. You can't take it apart to clean it. I tried vinegar and that doesn't work. I was told, by the manufacturer that you can't use anything harsh because of the finish on the unit. I now have decided to buy a different manufacturer with a simple head. Oh, I forgot to mention. The hose that can be pulled out to spray, has a cloth covering on it and that is starting to fray. I hope this is displayed for consumers. I also hope the manufacturer gets to see this.

However, the retraction of the pull down hose is accomplished by a weight attached to the hose under the cabinet. Low tech and back woodsy. If there are items under the sink retraction can be compromised. And if you the weight disappears (ours did) it just hangs there until you purchase a new one or create your own mechanism.
