Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by BarkHounds My Beagle Rescue, I now CAN keep her.
I bought this product because the beagle I rescued barked nonstop, even on walks she would announciate her way through the entire walk, and worst yet she would totally ignore any/all correction I made. I am an experienced dog traininer, nothing was working, I love her so much, but if I couldn't stop her bad behavior I would have had to rehome her yet again. I bought this collar (from a "pet store", paid $15 more for it). I put the collar on her, and with a couple of barks her and their ☆call them oops I forgot barks, I've had the collar for 8 months and she only barks if the collar isn't on, even at that she doesn't do it excessively even when the collar isn't on. The collar works so well I bought one for the dachshund as well. Only my 2nd collar I did buy at Home Depot for a lot less than than I've ever seen it at any of the pet stores. I will say though, the first month of use you have to have the neck area completely clear of excessive hair and collars, the prongs must be tight (almost to the piont that it seems to be choking them) once the collar has been "established" you can loosen it, I had to do this for my Long Haired Dachshund, no worries it grows back

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by PegasusLover Bark Collar is fantastic and NOT cruel!!
Well, we have 10 dogs on our land and let me tell you, when one howls or barks, they all howl and bark! After awhile, this gets annoying and frustrating to closer neighbors and our sleeping at night. So, we bought these collars for the over-barkers and in one day, they learned howling and over-barking is no fun any more :-). We truly LOVE and adore our animals and would NEVER be cruel to our babies(dogs); however, annoying animals become frustrating to their owners and then we cannot truly enjoy their wonderful personalities now can we? So, don't think these collars are cruel, I literally let it shock me and it's very uncomfortable not really painful, so to speak. We enjoy our dogs more now and can't wait to see them each day as they are what they are suppose to be "Man's Best Friend", not our worst bark and howl enemies/nightmares. Do take the collar off on occasion or when you leave for a day, just to give them that little bark freedom and then they know when that collar goes back on...it's time for peace. We do keep a couple dogs without collars, cause they are only barkers when intruders are around and that's needed. Take care and God bless. :-)

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 2schnauzersandanakita Best Investment ever!
These collars were the best thing I ever did for my family of pups. Schnauzers are naturally excitable dogs, and they bark at everything - from visitors to lizards, of which we have a lot. Unfortunately, the akita caught on to their habit and it was never quiet. The FIRST night I put these on them, stone silence! I actually had to go looking for one of them because I couldn't figure out where he had gone, I was so used to him barking all the time! We had a large group of people over the first night, and someone actually said, wait, you have dogs? where are they? And they were in the room right next door! Its amazing the transformation - even walking them has become easier, and they are far better behaved. The beep that comes right before the static has been great as well, because it serves as a warning to the dog, and he stops his poor behavior immediately. Cannot say enough good things about this product!!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 91relytma Great product and worth the money!!!!
If you are reading the reviews for this product, great! I appreciated people taking time to write them. They helped.
First let me say that our dog barked 3 times the first day. No joke! It's been a few days now and all is well.
Second, the bad review needs a disclaimer: The maltese is a long hair dog. The collar may have been too loose or the probes weren't getting through the long hair. Try clipping away some hair around the neck if you have a long hair dog.
I hope this was helpful and if you do buy this, I hope it works as well for you.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Dunc2014 Last Resort...and WORKED!
My beagle/basset rescue was barking and howling in his crate and this was the last resort before having to possibly give him back. I put it on him and he barked once and then again and that was it! I left for a few hours to test him and asked my neighbor to listen out and tell me what she heard and she said he barked once or twice but that has been it! No more barks when I leave, am gone or come home. My dog walker says he doesn't make a peep midday. He only wears it in his crate to associate quiet time with the crate. I'm would give 5 stars but the fit isn't snug enough without the prongs choking him so a better collar style would be helpful. It tends to slip towards his side or back neck. However, he figured out the collar means silence time! I normally never post a review but for someone like me desperate for a solution, this might just be it for you! Oh, and don't go to a pet store chain as they will overcharge for this exact product by at least $10.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Brinky The Dog Responded Well...
This one relatively inexpensive no bark collar worked better than expected. After only 1 day of use the dogs barking is under control. Even with sending the dog out with out the collar there is a greatly reduced amount of barking.

It doesn't really work because his fur is too thick . I'm too afraid to cut his fur because I don't want to accidentally cut him . It's infortunate that we bought it and can't use it .
