Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Jimo Blocks Heat Well, Restricts Airflow
We've got a few west facing windows that are hot to the touch during the summer. After making screens with this stuff they're only warm to the touch. An acceptable improvement. However, it does restrict the airflow when compared to a regular screen. So, there's a tradeoff.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Bud Effective sun blocker
This is more effective in my opinion than window film. The only downsides are it is very thick, so a little difficult to install. Requires you to use spline one size smaller than you would with convention screen. It also significantly darkens your interior, as you would expect from a sun blocking product. That said the results seem great. Really does the job blocking east - west sun here in Florida. Exterior appearance is pretty dark as well, and it definitely does not allow as much air to pass thru the screen.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by dawn Very good product
This solar screen has done wonders for keeping my house cooler. The weave on this screen makes it easier to see through than most solar screen material. Because this is a thicker than standard screen material, be prepared to get a really good hand workout pushing the spline into place!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by C00kiee Durable Screen
I wanted to try this screen because of its claims to block sun. I love this screen because it does block a lot of sun. It is very sturdy and so easy to work with. The holes in the sceen are very small to keep bugs and flies out even better and I love the look it gives my home

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Jimbo Good Sunshade, Not So Good As Screen
We've got a couple of sliding glass doors that face west. During the summer the glass gets hot to the touch. I replaced one of the sliders' screen with the "super solar screen". Now the glass is only warm. However, the amount of air coming thru the "super solar screen" is only a fraction of what comes thru regular screening. So, it's a mixed bag.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Galium Worked surprisingly well - No Need to Tint Windows !!
Bought this screen fabric based on another reviewer's idea of using as sun shade material for non-opening windows. We cut the screen material to fit the windows, turned over a small hem at the top, stapled it together to create a small rod pocket. Suspend these guys on the inside of our windows with spring tension rods. They work FANTASTIC!! We can see thru them, the plants still get lots of light, they block so much of the afternoon sun and heat, and when Summer's over - just pluck 'em right out of the window to save for next year. I only bought one 25ft roll and it did 4 big windows in my 12 window great room. I'm ordering more! Easy to do, cuts with scissors - I am so happy with it ! Two 25 ft rolls for $52.00 each is way better than $900 to tint the windows - and I can remove it at any time. Totally recommend!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by SunnyinFlorida Works great
I live in Tampa, Florida. I used this on my 1/2 screens all around the house. I showed my neighbors the difference and I ended up doing all their screens as well. I also cut the screening to fit my sliding glass doors which are 36" x 8 foot. I used suction cups in the corners to hold the screening onto the glass. Works wonderful. Another thing - during the day I can see out, but others cannot see in. I highly recommend this product to cut the sun and heat.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by VinMz Keep your house cool with added privacy! =)
I live in Las Vegas and the summer sun is super hot... I was able to cover four of my windows with just one roll and it makes a huge difference...my house is a few degrees cooler cause of the screens. Another added bonus is additional privacy... people can't see into the house during the day, but you're able to look out. Awesome.
