I found this screen was easy to use- not too stiff to work with and its appearance is appealing- I'm happy with this purchase!

This screen was used to cover 3 sides of a 16' x 16' porch enclosure with 8' lengths split 4' on top of 4'. That being said...it can be tough to install if you don't have two people. The other challenge is maintaining control of the roll when pulling the length you need, and not having it get a "kink" or "crease". If that happens, you can't get it out. I found that having someone holding the roll while I started stapling one side then both of us unrolling to the other side helped minimize getting any kinks. I wanted metal for the dogs, so I'm not sure how to compare this to the Fiberglass screen, but I found the metal rather difficult to pull tight. I didn't have any serious "waves", but there is definitely some play in the screened areas. Taunt, not tight. I will say the black screen really minimizes its appearance. You can barely notice the screen from a distance and it's almost not seen at all from inside the porch.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Angela Good product, see-through, likes to bend a little.
The screen came packaged well and was as described. We used it with the screen tight system which we found out the hard way required a smaller spline (.6 not.75) because the aluminum is slightly thicker. However, I heard that it holds up better than the fiberglass. So far, the only problem I have with it is that it bends too easily. We laid it out on a table to measure and cut and when we went to put it up, you can see where it was hanging off the edge of the table. Also, after you cut it, the edges tend to scratch and poke you so be careful! Can barely see it once installed which can be good or bad depending! Good product just a little time-consuming.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Jim6789 Great screen, poor availability
This screen is really great. Visibility through it is barely impaired, and air flow is great. We like aluminum because of its durability and the environmental impacts of plastics. The only downside is that Home Depot will not sell the black screen in any other size than 100' rolls. You can get smaller rolls of non-black screen, but for those you can only order the large rolls online (no store pickup) and can only get the smaller rolls at the store (not available online). Getting what we needed turned out to be a huge hassle, though we still got it from Home Depot because the price was good.

I replaced the aluminum screens on my porch that had holes and tears from the years. The black is great compared to the bare metal, hardly see the screen. The material is a little weaker than I would have expected, maybe the price for the clarity of view. Easy to work with. Comes well packaged.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by mjh999 Excellent quality screening
The screen was shipped in a heavy tube, providing excellent protection during the shipping process. The screen was of consistent form and color and for at least the first 30 linear feet I've used it was defect free.
Easy to work with as long as a heavy duty sharp scissors is used to trim it. Just be careful not to crimp or bend it sharply during installation as it won't recover from that.

I was concerned that the screen would come damaged, but it was packaged well and in a heavy tube. Good quality screen and easy to work with.
