Answer:
This is a screen material and while pretty tough I'm unsure it is intended to be used as a canopy. Rain will slow, but go right through this.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 13 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best for Reducing Solar Heating Using a "Cut-to-Fit" Installation The product was easy to cut and shape to fit our window openings. Previously we used a material from this manufacturer in a solar shade we purchased through Home Depot but a complete full window shade could not be installed these windows. We purchased this roll and used it to cover two windows on the west side of our home to reduce solar heating. It Works and Looks Great! September 6, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Solar screening This helped cool our home. Before making your screen, unroll entire roll to make sure there are no flaws. We ordered 6 rolls and didn't realize that one roll was badly flawed until we we in the middle of a very large window. August 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice screen. Got here in a jiffy! I needed to control the sun in some unusually shaped windows. Easy to cut and heavy enough for outdoor use. Weave is fused so no edge treatment is required after cutting! Continuous Velcro across the top is plenty to hold and looks great. March 29, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awsome Product Very good product would recommend to everyone living in a desert environment July 19, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good product Flaw in weave not seen until installation complete. Not significant, but also not A-1. Recommend full inspection prior to installation. June 17, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Worked like a charm We made a metal frame and used this fabric as a screen to block the heat on our skylights in the kitchen. It was a little thicker than we thought, but still does a great job of reducing the heat and sun. Sorry we didn't do this years ago. It blocks the sun and heat, but can still see through it. Also, quick shipping service. June 24, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by A super sunscreen material This product does a superior job of shading the intense sunlight. Even though it shades 90% of the suns rays the sunlight that does get through is still bright enough and hot enough for the shades to be left in place all year round. Can be used to make individual window screens or mounted to framework to shield larger areas. April 29, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not for me I needed this to block sunlight from coming in through my angled high windows, but I also wanted to still keep my view. This product was not transparent enough so I decided to return it. It would be functional and a good product for someone who does not want to see through it. October 22, 2013
