Yes, water comes through. It is almost misty. Any that collects on the screen will evaporate or drip though.

Prevent solar charging for umbrella??

Does the 20 x 20 no-see-um mesh cut out enough solar energy to prevent charging of a solar powered umbrella beneath it? Ever since my screen was installed, the only way to charge the umbrella is with the a/c charger. If so, I did not realize it would be preventing so much solar energy. Nice but this little blip. The area will be much cooler during the summer.
Asked by: IreneC
Yes, this will have an effect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just fine It's replacement screen on my screened porch. Fitted right in with existing screen. Even a finer grain for insect control.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fiberglas Noseeum Screen This screen was not available locally despite being in the middle of noseeum country in SC. I did not want 100 feet so HD was the only place I could find 25 ft rolls. with an 84 inch width. The screen arrived promptly and went up easily. I just replaced all the screen on my porch about a 20 x 12 foot area with 9 foot heights. The screen handled and cut nicely. With Screen Tight system and a first time do it your selfer, I was very impressed with the ease of installation and the quality of the finished look I completed the whole job myself with no help except from online tutorials. We'll see how long it lasts and hope for no Hurricanes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best available price Fine mesh screening sold by Home Depot, 3-4 day delivery, price ~ $.30 per sq.ft. Lowes, not in store stock, special order twice as expensive

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Completely stops all flying critters. My screened porch was suddenly plagued by no-seeums a couple of years ago, which spoiled the enjoyment of the porch. I used this screening to replace all of the screens on the porch that were adjacent to flower gardens. Solved the issue completely. I'm very happy that this product exists!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from bad packing Had to order on line, it's not in the store. It arrived in only the plastic bag, no box or other packing. Because of this I've lost three feet from each roll. Good thing I allowed for mistakes. As for the screen it is as pictured. Not hard to install.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Screening was a great value and just the right amount I needed. All I needed was 25 feet of 2020 screen to replace regular screening that allowed small seeds to fall into the pool cage. This product was offered in 25 foot roll and I didn't have to buy more than needed to get the job done. Thank you for quickly shipping and the fair price !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product-installed by two amatuers We bought two rolls and installed screening ourselves with a staple gun and wider lattice for the trim with small white nails. The material was very durable and easy to work with. You have to pull it tight for no puckering. For two people who didn't know what we were doing, it came out nice. We filled in some side holes with triangular gutter guards cut up. It is the same material as swimming noodles for kids. Ask the Home Depot rep what I'm talking about, it's porous and fits in a gutter and you use it for the minor holes that the screen did not cover. It depends on your porch layout. You might not have those holes or gaps.
