This hose starting to "sweat" after about 9 months of use. It outright burst after about a year. We kept in garage, but never in direct sunlight. Would not recommend unless you don't mind replacing it frequently. As far as coiling/un-coiling, it did that pretty good.

it's nice to just unpack, connect to faucet and use. When I am done with the hose, I let it drain and curl in into a flower pot for easy storage. Plus the cost was very economical. $19.97. I saw the same product at Handyman of Hubbard...$39.99.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by bill will not live without this hose!
This hose rolls up into a small planter near the silcock. You can't see it, it is not in the way, and when you need it just turn on the spicket and you are free to roam 50 ft without kinking. I have 2 of them, one for the pool area and another near the garage for washing cars.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by GAgirl It's just a hose. It may or may not expand/contract. They seem to think that it is reasonable for you to reel it up and store it inside when not in use.

This is a great idea that is poorly realized. Bought 2. Both developed small leaks. I repaired the burst ends with a barbed splice and pulled the outer casing over the splice and used hose clamps to secure it. The patch lasted but the hose ruptured within a week at a new spot. The other hose has a small pin hole leak now in a new location and will be useless in the next week also. This product is not worth buying and having to return. Just not made well. Look to another product if you are looking for 100% satisfaction beyond the 30 day product life of this item.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Tonto 50 ft pocket hose failure
pocket hose warranted for 2 years; blew out in 2 1/2 years. Hose was used 2x a month for short periods to wash deck and always kept out of the sun and under covered when not in use. Understand the new ones don't have any warranty. Don't waste your $$ on this hose.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by StLoMoDan Plastic fittings not good
The hose seems to be of good quality. I bought this model with plastic fittings because it was $10 cheaper and the manufacturer claimed the plastic is high impact and crush proof. The problem is with the threads on these fittings. Under pressure the fitting pops off of the faucet.
