Customer Questions & Answers

If this is good for power a 5.0 amp craftman drill and a circularsaw?

Asked by: Marcjavier1979
No. 5 amp @ 120 volts means 5 x 120 = 600 watts constant power --plus, motors use more wattage to get started. You'd need a much larger inverter. This inverter is 400 watts. I used it to power the 200 watt air pump on my AeroBed.

Can i put a cigarette lighter plug on this inverter to charge some device while driving?

Asked by: Gee
It's not made for the cigarette lighter plug, it's made to connect to car battery. It's super easy; like using jumper cables. The cig plug doesn't provide enough electricity to power this inverter, at best you'd blow the lighter's fuse. At worst, I don't know, a fire?

Is this good to use with a marine battery for a battery backup for a pellet stove?

Asked by: Cathy
The XR750-12 is a modified sine wave inverter, you should check with the manufacturer of the pellet stove and ask if a modified sine wave is ok, or will it require a pure sine wave inverter. Other than that, if they say it is ok, the XR750-12 will power appliances up to 750 watts.

Power Inverter

Fan cooling motor not functioning yet I've have a green Light Battery 11.34 V from battery to inverter II0V works with a 100W light . My concern is the battery voltage too low... IS This is why the cooling fan is not working?? Also the usb port powers up a small fan works great with My laptop does not work for very long run time... Again too low voltage on battery?? Thanks Paul
Asked by: degme2
The cooling fan on the inverter is thermally activated and should only come on when the unit is hot to the touch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very satisfied. I had this product drop-shiipped to our lake house for the purpose of lighting 120-volt decorative lights on a pontoon boat. Shipping was prompt and timely. I did not know if the product would work if simply connected to a 12-volt automotive battery which was not itself connected to a motor or recharging source. It worked perfectly, lighting 3 100-light strands of mini bulbs (like Christmas tree lights) for our July 4th celebrations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from perfect for my camping needs! I purchased this inverter to power the air pump on my AeroBed for camping. It worked beautifully. Easy to hook up to the car battery, easy to use, more than enough power for the air pump.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from worked fine twice, third time it didnt work I have only used this converter a couple of times. It worked good the first two times i used it,but when I tried to use it today, it didnt work at all. I put a volt meter on it and there was no ACvoltage coming out of my unit. I cant find my receipt but I will try to get it replaced tomorrow
