I've seen other similar products sold with liquid nails and just wondering if this product would be able to adhere in a similar manner.

I would be using it in a different application which might not be conducive to nails.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Answer:
Approximately 72, 1" long roofing nails. The heads of the finishing nails may not be wide enough to properly attach the seal.

My existing seal seems to have curled and they aren't completely stiff and straight to cover the gap between the garage doors and frame ( I can see some sunlight coming through on both sides of the garage doors) Will this stay stiff and straight to keep mice out?

Answer:
I doubt very much if it will keep mice or even chipmonks out of the garage. I had mice, rats and chipmonks chew a hole through my wood garage doors. I had to go to steel doors and then they chewed through the wood framing. This is only vynal, so I doubt if it would keep them out.

36 ft. Garage Door Top and Side Seal is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I needed This garage seal is 36' long, most that you find are only 30'. My garage door is 8' high so 30' would not work. The package came with the seal and nails to install it. I used molding over the seal and nailed through both to hold It in place.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Functional and cost effective It works, but I hope you like driving nail after nail. I would not recommend this to anyone who is not very handy. I installed this by myself in about 1 1/2 hours. Had to go back and tweek the ends a little, but it made a decent seal. Probably would have been easier with an extra set of hands to hold the strip in position rather than positioning it 8" at a time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from side seal This product needs to be installed with an adhesive or calk prior to nailing/ screwing it in place. it leaves gaps between every nail hole. All in all you get what you pay for.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Seals OK, but starts to crack after a year. It was fairly easy to put up, I used long staples to save time but after a year, all of the foam and outer layer is cracking. Looks fairly junky now and will need to be replaced. They advertize "UV blockers" but it just doesn't hold up in even moderate sunlight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Garage door seal I needed to seal off my garage door completely from the weather. This product did just that! It was easy to cut and install. and it completely stops all wind from entering around my garage door. I used to build professionally and I don't know why I didn't do this sooner!
