Can I replace a QSee Model: QD6508B-4H. I have a system now that has 6 of these cameras and need something that will pan the side of the building

Asked by: Printer
You can add this camera to your system or replace one of your existing cameras. If your DVR has PTZ just hook it up directly to your DVR. If you want to fine tune it hook up the camera to the External PTZ that comes with the camera.

Premium Series Indoor/Outdoor 650 TVL Pan Tilt Security Camera with 65 ft. Night Vision is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better than expected! I installed this at our vacation home in about 90 minutes. Make sure you already own a DVR before ordering this. Night vision is rated at 65 FT, I got a bit better at 88 feet, at night with a clear picture. Lens is non-affected by passing headlights or street lights (no white out) Relatively easy to install. If I purchase another one, it will be with the "ZOOM" feature added to the ability to pan and tilt Excellent value

Rated 3 out of 5 by from picture fairly clear , field of view is narrow. Overall is fine for the price . Remote control device worked to pan or tilt. Picture is colorful and fairly clear on sunny day, ok on cloudy day, 6mm lens come with camera cause some narrow field of view, I want to put it to the front of the house , it did not cover wide enough the street as I expected. Have to install under the eave for direct rain protection to camera as the installation instruction .

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Technically easy to set up. Surprisingly it presents security issues. I attached this to my existing security system, fact is the only drawback was not a big enough power strip for all the power adapters. My existing DVR and monitor set up don't display the full resolution capability of this camera. I can't comment on the resolution and range but I'm looking forward to upgrading my DVR so I can. I don't believe this would be protective as a stand alone security camera. I would not want to be without a static camera aimed at high risk locations like the mailbox. I timed the rotation when set at the fastest speed, it would be easy to compromise this if it was the only camera used. It timed slow. The Remote wires appear fragile and I will be buying a wire cover to reinforce it, fragile wires pictured. This is my first remote with a security system and the control settings open a huge number of possibilities including for remote babysitting my pets. The lack of zoom on the camera is a drawback. I'm a camera geek, these limitations I've noted will not be preventing me from experimenting with different security set ups and presets for some short film. Two security issues to watch 1) it's very big and not stealth 2) the camera rotation is slow enough to allow an intruder in the front door without a record of it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from excellent camera The only issue is if the power goes out to the camera it resets it's self back to default. It's not a big problem and it just takes a minute or so to set up again. A great value for the money
