Answer:
It won't unless you use some sort of adhesive remover first, which typically is some type of acid.

Answer:
If this helps, It did NOT do well at all getting under the vinyl floor adhesive on my wood subfloor. It did a pretty decent job of tearing the sheet vinyl up though! And by "tearing up" I don't mean removing it. I mean tearing through it and leaving huge chunks still on the floor.

Tip: When you remove the "tackless" strips that hold the edge of the carpet, use "Premixed floor repair" to fill the little craters left by the cement nails. Do not overfill! Can use the 14 inch scraper- BACKWARDS- to smooth the premix leveler/patcher after it dries. Use smaller tool for corners. Read Less

I just used this product for the very same thing and the results are ok. The handle is NOT comfortable so please wear some gloves. it will get enough of the adhesive off to enable you to lay tile.

Thank you Jean for your inquiry.
To ensure that you do not damage your subfloor we would recommend that you gently push the scraper below the adhesive before applying pressure to scrape.

Answer:
Doubt it. The handle is about 3 1/2 feet long, hollow and about 1 1/8th inch in diameter. Most impact delivered to the handle will be lost 3 1/2 feet down the handle.

I have a back porch that has a painted on epoxy textured coating. The patio has a crack that has opened up and in order to repair it I need to scrape off this coating. Will this tool scrape off the coating without doing excessive damage to the concrete underneath?

Answer:
Hello Kelsey,
No this will no work to remove it as a solid. If you apply a solvent to liquify the material then it would work with limitations. I would recommend using a stronger scraper then follow up with the larger blade to clean up.

Answer:
Sure, but I wouldn't. Takes too long and you will be hurting. Unlike the description, a Hammer should not be used with it. I had phenomenal success with a claw hammer and a small sledge hammer to hammer the claw hammer. went very quickly and gave me all the power and leverage I needed.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Ugly but functional If you like elegance in your tools, this is not it... The handle is a pipe for christ's sake... Heavy and clunky... But it works just fine if you're not a tool obsessed OCD weirdo such as myself... September 6, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by As Advertised Ordered this product online because it was not available in my local store! Sturdy built scaper, however, the bolts holding the blade into the handle were not tight and they kept loosening up. No problems just an inconvenience. Overall raiting I reduced BC you waanted a Nickname and then you restrict the length a nick can be! September 6, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product. Not good for hard scraping but great for light duty work. Product gets the job done. Don't expect to scrape hard adhesive but is great for moving liquid or light solids. August 9, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by QEP 14" scraper This scraper did exactly what I wanted. Scraped up one layer of old linoleum with a layer of peel and stick tiles on top with no problem! July 26, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Sorry I Purchased I had high hopes after reading both positive and negative reviews. I needed to remove 25 tiles. Couldn't even do one. The blade was too flimsy. It also would be better as a t-handle, though, not sure this would help much either, in my case. I returned it the same day. I think it would be good for scraping particles/dried glue, but that is about it. June 14, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by wasted my money on this scraper is too flimsy to scrape off any thing stuck to the floor June 8, 2016
