Yes, you can use our Quick Shine Multi-Surface Floor Finish on your stained concrete floors. Quick Shine® Multi-Surface Floor Finish is a water-borne polymer formulation designed to protect and impart a rich, deep, protective glow to sealed hardwood floors, wood laminate, stone, tile, vinyl and all other sealed hard surface flooring.
It is important to start with a clean, dry surface when applying Quick Shine® Multi-Surface Floor Finish. Clean your floors using a microfiber mop pad dampened with plain, cool tap water and then let it dry before applying the Floor Finish. You can also clean your floor with our Quick Shine® Multi-Surface Floor Cleaner using a white microfiber bonnet, a sponge mop, or microfiber applicator. For heavier soil, clean with our Quick Shine® Deep Cleaner found online at www.quickshine.net. Do not clean with oil soap, pine oil, orange oil, ammonia, vinegar or any other all-purpose cleaners as these cleaners can interfere with the film formation process of our Floor Finish by leaving sticky oily residue, detergent haze or an inadequate surface for maximum gloss.
Quick Shine® Multi-Surface Floor Finish should be spread with a damp mop or microfiber pad that has been freshly rinsed with cool tap water and wrung out. Never spread the Quick Shine® Multi-Surface Floor Finish with the same applicator that you use to clean the floor as the residue from the cleaner and/or soil can cause hazing and streaking. When applying, use broad even strokes. Do not use a back-and-forth motion as this may cause streaks or haziness. It is also important to let Quick Shine® Multi-Surface Floor Finish completely dry (30-45 minutes depending on humidity levels and temperatures) before applying subsequent coats and before allowing pets or foot traffic on the floor. If you do not allow Quick Shine® Multi-Surface Floor Finish to completely cure it will show footprints and smudges. You may apply 2-3 coats to your completely dry floor for a deep, rich, protective glow.
Maintain the shine by keeping clean and free of dirt and dust. It is recommended to frequently dry dust mop the floors to help keep the soil levels at a minimum. For a more thorough clean, use our Quick Shine® Multi-Surface Floor Cleaner with a microfiber pad. It is not recommended to pour the cleaning solution directly onto the flooring surface that has been treated with our floor finishes, rather dampen the mop head/pad with cleaning solution and then damp mop the floor. It is also important to avoid using vinegar or ammonia solutions to clean your floors in the future, as they will reduce the shine over time and ammonia can actually remove the finish. Many general purpose and floor cleaning brands look acceptable when they are wet but when dry create foot printing and haze issues due to residue that is left on the floor.
Also, you can freshen the shine with a new Quick Shine® Multi-Surface Floor Finish gloss coat whenever you feel it is necessary by simply applying a new coat. As a general rule-of-thumb, high traffic areas should be freshened with Quick Shine® Multi-Surface Floor Finish every 2-3 months, light traffic areas every 4-6 months. You can even freshen just the high traffic lanes of the floor if you wish.
