CAN THIS PRODUCT BE STIRRED OR ONLY SHAKEN DUE TO SPOUT

Asked by: KAILEE
I took off the lid because it was so hard to pour because of the thickness. Stir or shake.

I want to know more about this product!!

I am looking for a stain that's also a sealer (water repellent, resists mildew and has a UV protector in it). We rebuilt our deck in the Spring and used Thompson's water sealer on it. It mildewed and looked splotchy. We just used their deck cleaner to strip the clear sealer off of it. We are wanting a stain that will protect the wood and not peel but be water resistant, we also love the wood grain of the pressure treated pine. We live in Florida and have hot summers! What are the pros and cons to this product? We don't want to have to strip another deck! I've seen horror stories about decks and sealants! Does the deck show wear and tear quickly? Will it last longer than 2 or 3 years? Thanks for any tips and help!

What I did was Google READY SEAL before i bought the product.

It went on super easy and my deck just sucked it up. No issues with overlap marks and I didn't have to be super precise with application which was great. Clean up of splashes from my vinyl siding was as easy as just wiping with a dry cloth (I cleaned up the splash while it was still wet ) and I spilled some on my patio which cleaned up great with a little mineral spirits. It stinks that I had to order it online because no stores carried this brand but the product itself was amazing. This will be the only product I use for my deck going forward.

I was so pleased with last summer's Ready Seal dark walnut stain results on our pressure treated wood deck, that I selected the light oak stain for our home's aged cedar siding. I cleaned the siding first with an oxy solution and a hose. Yuck, I could not believe that amount of dark mildew that rinsed off. The cedar looked new again. A narrow 7" roller was perfect for rolling the stain onto the planks. The light oak shade looks great on the cedar. It truly is goof proof. The color blends evenly on the wood with no overlap marks. The job has taken several days, with many week-long breaks. I can pick up where I left off and it blends perfectly. This product turns a big job into a stress-free project. Highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ready Seal I spent a lot of time and effort stripping an old ugly brown oil stain from my deck and after making the commitment to do it right (stripping, cleaning, sanding) I was afraid it would end up a waste of time. I'm relieved and happy to say that this product can reward you for your efforts. The appearance after 1 week surpasses my expectations. Beautiful color and enhancement of the woods characteristics and is drying evenly. Sounds like reapplication when the time comes is rather painless so I couldn't ask for much more.

However, very disappointed in the color. Ordered light oak and it came out very orange. Applied to wood (pine) that was 2 years old and sanded and cleaned down to new wood finish. It's been over 3 weeks since applied with strong sun, rain, etc. and the color hasn't faded.

I researched & decided this stain was my best option. Part of my ramp & deck are under a tree, so the mildew resistance was an important factor for me. The light oak is just beautiful.
