I love this little router! It has been capable of producing any edge-profiling job that I've thrown at it. Actually, it hasn't bogged down during any of it's duties in my shop. I love the soft start and it's easy to make small or large adjustments. Changing the bit is a breeze as well but what sets this router apart from others is its ease of use. It's lightweight and fits my hand well and the clear base with the LED makes it so easy to use I find myself routing things that I never would have taken the time to in the past. I have three other routers of various sizes from other manufacturers and they've been collecting dust ever since I brought this home over 3 years ago.

I have only been using this tool for about two weeks now...but that being said, I have been very impressed with the power & lightweight nature of this compact router. I think that so far, it has been more than worth the money. It is easy to hold, adjust the depth, and change the bits, etc.
I have been very surprised by the power this small router has. I hope it keeps up the good work, and I am looking forward to using it for a long time to come in the future.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by AdanaConstruction My go to routers
These little routers are great. I have two of the newer series and one older unit.
They are always loaded with a round-over or bevel bit for quick work while finishing houses.
The older one feels a bit nicer in the hand and the toggle switch is trouble free. The newer style switch has been intermitent on one of the newer routers. Just needs a little tap sometimes and it starts up.
Might have to bring it to service one day.
Great power , great value . No need to buy any other brand.

I bought this laminate trimmer a while ago and finally got to use it a few weeks ago, It worked like a charm, very light and compact and the soft start is a great feature, it doesn't jerk out of your hand when you start it. This tool adjusts very easily up and down and locks tight. As a previous reviewer said, it would be nice to only need one wrench to change bits, but still not a huge deal.
It also comes with a molded case which I like ,The other thing that is great is the long cord with the lighted picture on the plug, it doesn't seem like a big deal, but when you have multiple things plugged in it makes it easy to grab the right plug.
Overall, awesome tool with a great warranty

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Kingstonian A handy tool to have around
I picked this tool up on sale at $99.00 because it seemed like a good price and it had great reviews both on the HD website and in Fine Woodworking magazine.
I'm a relatively new hobbyist woodworker, but I've used a few other routers in the past and so far I'm really happy with this purchase. It's extremely easy to set up and use, and I've found that on a few smaller jobs where I might have pulled out a full size router I've reached for this instead just because it's easy to have it out and going within a matter of minutes. Depth adjustments are a cinch with the dial mechanism on it.
It's got lots of power and speed to cut through both softwoods and hardwoods, without being too noisy. The LED feature is really nice for lighting up your work area. I've used the included fence and it's easy to set up and holds its settings reasonably well, although it's definitely light duty.
For detailed work, handheld trimming (ie. with a flush trimming bit), and small jobs this router is a great tool to have around.
After a couple of months of intermittent use, I've got no regrets and am definitely happy I spent the money.
