How many feet at how many inches deep does it last? If I measured the blade after use, will that tell me approximately how many feet worth of cutting I have left?

Answer:
Not enough feet. I used these blades to cut concrete with a water hookup and they didn't even last half a day. I am a professional and have been using diamond blades for years. I have never seen a blade wear out so quickly. I was in a hurry so bought this blade. Next time will go back to my regular supplier.

Answer:
Thank you for your interest in RIDGID.
The life of the blade really depends on the material being cut, with some aggregate being harder than others depending on geographic location. You can tell approximately how many feet is left on the blade if you measure the blade before and after use, and how many feet have been cut.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 8 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Objective review The manufacturer doesn't make any claims about how much concrete this can cut before it stops working so I'll just describe how much mine cut. I used a push concrete saw rented from Home Depot and I used the water attachment to extend the life of the blade. I never went more than one inch depth at a time. I cut through 100 linear feet of 5 inch thick concrete with 1/2" rebar every 10 feet. After this, the blade measured 12-13/16" diameter and would not even make shallow cut without freezing up. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Cutting thru condensed concrete block Although the use of this product was limited to only five to six dry cuts the blade went through the material with ease. April 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect for the job Made cutting concrete with the diamond blade so easy. Will never use anything but this type of blade in the future September 15, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Cuts beautifully We have been using ths blade to cut block and stone. We get a nice clean cut every time. So far it has lasted through about a hundred cuts and I look forward to a few hundred more before we are done with this project. April 7, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Makes fast work of large projects Excellent performance cutting 39 year old hardened concrete. A total of 44 linear feet at a depth of 3-1/2 inches was cut. Two cuts were made 22 feet long - 2 inches wide. When the concrete was removed between the two cuts, the edges of the cuts were very smooth and clean. There was wire mesh in the concrete and the blade handled those without any complications. These were dry cuts and the blade ran surprisingly cool. Initially a guide cut was made along the layout at a depth of one quarter inch. After that the cuts were made in increments of one inch in depth until the cut to the full 3-1/2 inch was complete. A two thumbs up on the blade. I appreciated the quick clean cut. I never forced the blade. I let the weight of the saw do the work. I did not use a caliper to measure the wear on the blade, but wear is not noticeable to the eye. November 13, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Product The blade was great, was able to cut through cement with no problem February 3, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by A solid performer. So far, so good. This segmented 14" masonry blade cuts through brick as well as my previous blade. I haven't had any issues with chipping. I have this blade mounted on my masonry wet saw, and it's performing as expected. I can't comment on longevity yet since I only installed it 3 days ago, but I have every reason to expect the best from this blade. November 5, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Better than average The Ridgid 14 inch diamond wheel runs true - no wobble, no vibration, just a clean cut. Dry cutting through 3 inch thick pavers is quick, effortless and virtually vibration free. December 3, 2014
