I bought this with the adapter to use on my 1/ 7/8 inch Rigid shop vac. The connection flexes way too much and my nozzle was made of such thin weak plastic it cracked open on the first use. I am looking for a quality nozzle that will fill this need. Several of the other tools ( dust brush, crevice tool) look to be made of higher quality plastic and for one size hose. Answer:
If it didn't come with one, you will have to purchase an adapter to reduce the hose size.

Answer:
It is for the larger hoses; one alternative is to remove the adaptor and see if it fits your hose.

Answer:
Please note that you just need to remove the adapter that came with the nozzle and attach it directly to the end of hose.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 2.8 out of 5 by 25 reviewers.
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Accessory Documentation poor Vacuum is excellent, but comes with only one tool. There is no documentation on the box what size hose comes with the tool. Additional accessories come in a few sizes and the stores I went to had these all mixed up in the bins they were supposed to be in. Took multiple trips to store to fully equip the unit with all necessary accessories. The manual does not specify the hose diameter either. Additional extension tubes which come with most other vacs are not included. Total cost to outfit this tool is greater than their more powerful vacs which come with many more accessores standard. Seems a lot to pay for a portable in light of above. June 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Claw Car Cleaning Nozzle The only problem I had was keeping it on the hose but I fixed that with a little tape. February 10, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not worth 10 bucks. it will fall right out of the 1 7/8 hose while in use, does not fit well at all. Happy with the rigid vac, feel cheated by the poor fit of this. January 1, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Needs a better hose connection The fitting on to the vacuum hose isn't very tight. Have to really pay attention while using the nozzle or it will come off the vacuum hose. Can really benefit from either notched end or some air holes to permit the flow of air to help facilitate with debris pick up. Nozzle tends to "suck" to the material being vacuumed instead of allowing to actually vacuum up debris. Otherwise all-in-all a decent attachment for the money. September 1, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Tool Used it one time only and it split down the middle July 28, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good add-on product to the shop wet/dry vacuum. Shop wet/dry vacuum parts fit and work, that's all i needed. July 23, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Cheap plastic I am on my third 2 1/2" Claw Car-Cleaning Nozzle. Nozzle works well with my Rigid shop vac to clean the carpet in my vehicles, but the plastic where the nozzle inserts into the vacuum hose is very thin and brittle. It will crack if you apply any force to the handle while cleaning. You need to hold the nozzle as close to the front as possible, and don't let the hose get kinked because it will snap the nozzle easily. March 12, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Good tool idea...poor build quality=broke on first use. I purchased this tool for my new Rigid tank vacuum. The width and angle are great, however the attachment is poorly sealed, and has way too much flex in it. It should be made to fit the 1 7/8 hose and not use a dysfunctional adapter. It also is made of very weak plastic unlike some of the other 1 7/8 attachments such a the dusting brush and crevice tool. Vacuuming the back of my van I put pressure on it and it simply cracked open. It looks like this tool is made somewhere else in China than the other tools and out of thin, weak plastic. Looking back I would have looked at Shop Vac brand vacuums if I knew this important attachment wasn't going to be of the same quality as the vacuum itself. April 17, 2014
