Q:How does the arm secure when it is down and holding the TP roll? Is there a latch, or does it simply sit in a groove? My concern is that the arm will lift if you place the roll so ir unrolls from the bottom.

Too wide
Heavy duty and a great design. However, it’s a bit wider than it needs to be for a toilet paper roll. More importantly, the mounting template has incorrect dimensions. Measure the bracket spacing yourself. Do not follow the measurements in the instructions.
I corrected the problem. Thankfully I didn’t have to use the giant drywall anchors that are included.

Very unhappy, way too long for a roll of paper
I loved the looks of this line, but the toilet paper holder has been awful to use. The length of the pivoting piece that the roll sits on is over 7”. A standard toilet paper roll is 4” long. A traditional toilet paper holder is 5” - 5 1/2” long. As a result when you reach to tear a piece of paper off the roll the roll slides back and forth because of the extra 3”. Now I need to have my newly painted wall spackled and repainted when I put a new functional replacement holder on!

Don't follow instructions
The instructions direct you to drill the holes 7 3/4" apart. This results in the closing bar not sitting flush with the left side of the mount. It looks like trash.

Go with Moen instead
This toilet paper holder is difficult to install, damages your wall, and does not close properly leaving it looking unfinished. Pulled off the wall and replaced with Moen.
