Rubbermaid has clearly been reading the reviews posted, and made changes accordingly. I saw earlier reviews about how difficult it was to peel the label off, and I was prepared with my bottle of goo gone, to have a struggle. No such problem. The label came off extremely easily, completely, intact, with no adhesive left behind. Rubbermaid has clearly changed the label they use on this product, and for the better. So don't be scared off by earlier reviews of shredding labels that leave residue behind, Rubbermaid has fixed this problem! (also, if you have that problem with other labels on other products, just use goo gone!) Other than that, no complaints - it's a board, nice looking, laminate finish, excellent low price. I purchased brackets to go with them and made them into floating shelves, and they turned out great.

I just bought two of these to put side-by-side as a desk top. They are sturdy enough, and they look and feel great. Contrary to the previous reviewers, I had no trouble at all removing the sticker. Rubbermaid must have fixed the issue.

We purchased these shelves trusting the Rubbermaid brand for great quality products. However, when it came time to putting up the shelves, the first step of removing the labels was almost impossible. We used soap and water on one and quickly found out that the outer coating is made of paper, and since the label was also paper, it was adhering much too well. The wood underneath warped and the paper coating came off so that now we will need to cover it up with contact paper to look nice.
Suggestion: Rubbermaid -- you should be using plastic or vinyl labels that don't rip when you try to take them off of the shelf!

Simple product, but the paper label could be tricky to remove. I found it easy enough to pry two corners up at one end with my fingernails, the slowly & evenly pull the label off. Took less than 30 seconds.

Worth the price for basic projects. Resists warping. Worst thing is trying to get the huge sku sticker off. Almost gave it a 2 for appearance, because you can really either waste a ton of time getting it off or you'll scratch the surface
