Is this price for 2 gallons or 1? Ace Hardware is 99 for 1, yours190?

Can this be applied to a laminate floor?

Asked by: alskins
We do not recommend using Rust-Oleum EpoxyShield Premium Floor Coating Kit on a laminate surface. It is designed for concrete floors only. Instead, use Rust-Oleum RockSolid Polycuramine Coating. It is a similar finish that will adhere to several surfaces, such as a laminate floor.

Does this come with anti-skid

I plan on using one coat of the professional rust-oleum to my garage floor before I add this. Will this item cover approximately 700 square feet of garage if I use it after the professional rust-oleum epoxy? Also, should I use the color chips on top of this product, instead of the grey epoxy? Lastly, do I need to purchase antiskid for this item?
Asked by: hmacv1
On previously painted surfaces, Rust-Oleum EpoxyShield Premium Clear Coating will cover approximately 500 square feet. We recommend applying the color chips to the gray epoxy product and using the Clear Premium Floor Coating as a top coat. The anti-slip additive is included in this kit and should be added slowly and thoroughly into the mixture before application.

1 gal. Clear High-Gloss 2-Part Premium Floor Coating Kit (Case of 2) is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 13.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic product I used 31%muriatic acid instead of the TSP provided. The acid etched the concrete surface to sandpaper grit. Rinsed thoroughly..dried for more than 24 hours. Then applied the epoxy..followed the directions, temperature and wait times accordingly. Painted the epoxy in 3 to 4 foot squares. I bought extra flakes with sparkle and spread with flair and heavier hand. My garage is 510 SF. Bought the 2 and 1/2 kit as well as the single kit. Had small waste. Goes on easily. The floor looks amazing!!! Will topcoat tomorrow with the high gloss coating and non skid additive. I feel like I should levitate around the garage now. The floor is so good to look at. I am going to install small heavy duty wheels on my tool stands. Thanks!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My husband and i did this project together it is best with two people. very easy even for beginers. every step of this product is easy to do just follow directions. my husband rinsed the floor initially. then added mixed citric acid with water and applied to garage floor and scrubbed with hard bristle floor broom. this is efficient you must have patience and check to see if you scrubbed the grease or other fluid stains good enough. it doesn't totally remove but dulls them enough so the old stains won't bleed through the epoxy paint. then as I spray with the hose the cement/citric acid liquid to rinse he is doing a scrubbing action and sweeping with the same broom must thoroughly rinse. then dry for 24 hours with a fan. then as he applied the epoxy paint I put down the sprinkles must be done in 4x4 foot squares. then let dry and cure for two weeks. then we decided we will apply a clear polyurethane coat to protect in the future. it is beautiful. thank you rust oleum. I bought your brand because other spray paints of your I have used in the past always work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product - if you know how to put it down correctly. The product cures quickly, you must work fast without missing any spots. While you are rolling it, it is difficult to tell where you have actually applies enough product (it gets shiny as it cures). 1 box did my "2 car garage" and truthfully 1 more coat would make it perfect, but for the price 1 coat is good enough. My advice: buy the correct roller! If possible have 2 people rolling the product at the same time so you can get all the product down before it hardens. I worked as fast as I could by myself and barely was able finish the floor; as I was finishing the last little section the product was basically a solid and roller could barely move.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Floor!!! Your product will come out best when doing all your prep work. The more time you spend prepping the floor the better it will be. I painted the floors with the epoxy paint and sprinkled the chips in. Then I applied the High-Gloss Premium Floor epoxy. When applying be sure to have some kind of light reflecting off the floor so you can see where you are and where you were last at. Be sure to use the anti-skid bag and try and continue to mix the can with your stir stick the anti-skid granules like to settle to the bottom of the can.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My Garage has never looked better... Much as with the other Rust-Oleum EpoxyShield Garage floor products I have used - this one has worked out very very well. It does provide a nice high gloss finish when applied over the Rust-Oleum EpoxyShield paint and decorative chips. I have not used this product by itself - just as a final coat. It mixes easily with a small stir paddle and electric drill. Just be sure it is thoroughly mixed and has no signs of any "marbling" of part A and Part B. Spreads very well with a 1/8" nap roller. Plan on throwing the roller away. One other note - again just like the other products - do not mix more than you can use at one time. Once mixed - the product will not last much longer than 2 hours or so and still work well. It looks okay - but upon drying the product will flake off easily. This is especially true of the solid paint we used as the first two coats. I used two coats of the solid paint - followed by two coats of the clear. Coverage is pretty much what it states on the labels - it may even seem that it will cover more than what is shown - but don't - use more coats. Took about overnight to cure to stocking feet - I let it cure an additional 48 hours before any heavier foot traffic - and 4 days before car. Letting it cure properly is really important. I give it a good value - as even though it covers as advertised - and looks professional - I think it is overpriced - should be about 30% less in my book. Compared to having a "professional" company do it - it is a bargain. Durability is yet to be determined - but I will report back in 6 months - after a good Colorado winter with mud and magnesium chloride de-icer as a test.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product - exceptional, you should carry this in your stores like you do the Epoxy Floor paint. My garage floor now resembles a SHOWROOM. It looks fantastic, I could not be more pleased. I had looked for this product at a number of your stores, over a few months always coming away thinking it was OUT OF STOCK. The shelf was empty, but there was a brochure. Finally I asked the paint department clerk and he said Internet only. I would think you are losing sales because of this. But, again, I could not be more pleased with the product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great DIY Floors came out awesome! I painted the floors with epoxy paint and then before it dried I sprinkled glitter on the floor. Then I sealed it with the floor coating kit and it came out amazing. Super easy and not complicated like I thought it was going to be. Only thing is it comes with a bag for non skid. I would not have added that it prevents a smooth floor. it is a very bumpy floor like sand was thrown in. But it did come out amazing.
