Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Robdog Great value, does the job.
This spray gun is perfect for the DIYer who doesn't want to overspend. When I opened the package I was pleased at how the spray gun felt in my hand. It seemed well built and heavy duty with its all metal construction. I didn't care for the tip guard because it has a seal or tip saddle inside that falls out very easily and is somewhat tricky to put back together. It is nice, however, that the tip and tip guard are interchangeable with the Graco parts. The gun and spray tip performed flawlessly and I was able to paint my whole house without issues. When it came time to clean up, it was somewhat difficult to take the handle off in order the clean the filter. It was overtightened. After you remove it for the first time, it's no longer an issue. One thing that I really like about this gun is that it comes with a swivel which makes the job a little easier. I haven't replaced the packing yet and I don't know if you even can. Overall, for the price this gun was awesome and I love it.

Kudos to Home Depot on their shipping and customer service, but they need to quit selling this P.O.S until Ryobi corrects their assembly problems. Relying on Ryobi's reputation, I ordered one of these guns because it seemed like a good value. Upon receipt I found that the handle could not be removed to access the filter. Forcing disassembly I found that the threads had been cross threaded\deformed during assembly. I've been a machinist for over 25 years and I know what I'm talking about. Home Depot promptly sent me a replacement and it had the same identical problem. I'm going to buy something else and will scrutinize anything with the Ryobi name from here on out.

I have had outstanding luck with virtually ALL Ryobi products I've bought in the past, and there have been a lot over a 30 year period, so I bought Online with blind trust.
I purchased this to supplement my Wagner airless gun that had the "old" standard 11/16" thread vs. the newer 7/8" thread (making it easier to find replacement tips). My old gun was German made, and a jewel to hold and use. I needed to retain it since my (expensive) swivel extension wand uses the 11/16" thread.
The Ryobi is nowhere near the finish quality of the German gun, and the hand guard edges (where it was stamped out) were sharp enough they cut my hand, though by disassembling the gun, and using a file to de-burr the edges, that shortcoming was eliminated. The trigger handle should have been positioned so it began to spray sooner when squeezing it without having to almost close one's hand completely, which is not very comfortable long term.
One has to be VERY careful when removing the tip holder/spray guard not to lose the small parts that will drop out (ask me how I know that), so be ready for that. The old Wagner system was better in that regard, but it was built 20 years ago, and the design of the new 7/8" spray guards are different, so this is possibly a "feature" of all 7/8" threaded guns.
On the positive side, the gun is mechanically stout, and while not a "jewel," is very functional and utilitarian at an absolutely outstanding price. The tip and tip-holder/spray guard alone is worth more than 50% of the gun's purchase price. Given the longevity of other Ryobi products, I suspect it will last a long time.
I've been painting for 40 years, and consider myself knowledgeable in the field.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by CrystalSprings Great gun, but careful of loose parts if you remove the tip.
Just watch out for loose parts when you disconnect the spray tip and you'll be happy. I bought this as as replacement for my Titan sprayer. I wasn't expecting much given the price, but have had pretty good luck with Ryobi in the past. The quality met my expectations, with all metal construction and a comfortable design. The function also met expectations with a nice even spray pattern. I did check prior to use and there were no 'used' parts in mine as some earlier reviews had stated.
The only thing to watch out for in this design is if you take off the spray tip (which I do while priming the sprayer), there are loose parts (that secure the spray tip in place and seal it) that can fall out easily. I didn't know about this before hand (my last gun didn't have these loose parts), so this happened to me and I had to enlist my kids to find the pea size parts which had fallen down into the grass. Luckily we found the parts so my day wasn't shot, and now know to be extremely careful when the spray tip is not securely attached to the gun.
In terns of functionality, I did note that with the spray tip secured, the tip won't rotate, so if you want to change the direction of the spray, you have to loosen the tip, rotate it, then re-tighten (or just rotate the entire gun). Not sure if this is common to all guns, but my previous gun allowed you to spin the tip direction with the tip secured. Maybe I was just over-tightening the tip out of concern for a leak though. Normally this wouldn't be an issue, but I was painting a tree-house and was in some tight spaces and awkward positions where I couldn't rotate the entire gun.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Jonathan Is this new?
I purchased one of these to replace a similar gun I had borrowed from a friend. When it came in the mail it was clearly a used product. The nozzle was rusty and so were other parts inside the gun. Upset that I'd been (unknowingly) sold a used item. I contacted HD and returned it to the store. Then I ordered another one and it came in similar fashion. I ended up giving this to my friend, since his was already used he was fine with it, but just beware. 2 out of 2 were not new. Unfortunately I did not use it so I can not speak to it's function.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by djn3rs New gun with OLD FILTER
The spray gun itself is decent enough but the used/dirty screen filter inside from a previous user was UNACCEPTABLE. The Home Depot customer returns center apparently does not inspect there returns too well. Although I'm sure I could have returned it for a replacement, the job I needed it for could not wait a couple weeks for that to happen.
