Answer:
It can accept a cord, but it doesn't come with one. The battery compartment has a small plastic door in it that hides a set of power plug prongs that are hard-mounted to the chassis of the blower. Just slip an extension cord over those prongs and you're in business (just like plugging something in a wall outlet, but with the opposite end of the extension cord).

Answer:
It doesn't actually have its own cord but an extension cord can be plugged into it to use it as a corded unit. So it can be run on corded or battery power.

I can't say for certain because I have not run out of power so far while using the cordless sweeper. I have the high capacity lithium batteries and so far they have outlasted my sweep times. I bought this blower to replace a BD 18volt cordless because all my BD batteries seem to be on their last legs and BD did not offer a Firestorm lithium battery. The lithium batteries are far superior than ni-cad with the blower because they do not lose full power as they discharge - when they are drained they just shut down the device. But as I said above, I have not run out of juice so far. My bet would be the blower would run at least 15 minutes or more with the larger battery. Read Less

Hello Mkbuilder. There are different variants that play a role in predicting the precise run time on a battery operated unit. However this is a hybrid unit and can be used with electricity for back up power. Hope this helps.

Yes, it should work. That is the beauty of Ryobi tools. The 18 volt batteries fit all their 18 volt tools. The lithium battery should last longer than the old black and yellow NiCad batteries, but they all fit the tool.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good for small quick jobs I have many ONE+ tools. This unit is great for small, quick jobs. I have a gas blower for large areas, or where I want an intense air flow. This unit doesn't produce the air of a good gas one, but you can't beat how quick you can grab it and start the job! A lot less noise too verses a gas blower. Very happy with this unit for what I purchased it for. I trust Ryobi, so this is another reason I purchased this unit, as well as having multiple ONE+ batteries. August 16, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Mediocre at best in battery mode I wouldn't recommend this blower unless you didn't have access to an extension cord, but DID have lots of money to spend on batteries! VERY short battery life! August 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great purchase This blower is just what I needed for blowing off patio and driveway after cutting grass and edging. Has enough power to do the job. And battery last until completion and still enough charge to blow out garage couple times a week. So much better than my previous Black & Decker cordless blower! August 23, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by So far so good I had the cheaper ryobi blower that lasted less than 3 summers before it broke under light usage. While it says it has 3 yr warranty it costs $$ just to have them look at it (and all costs may not be covered they told me) so it wasn't worth even trying. So be warned. But since I had several batteries I decided to get this one without the battery. Feels more sturdy and has a little more power which is nice. So we'll see how long this one goes. August 23, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Ok For Light Use I knew this wouldn't be as powerful as my corded blower and I was right. It is much quieter and is fine for blowing the grass off of the sidewalk...if the grass is dry. August 16, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good for small jobs I bought this because I was ready to get rid of the electric ones. This is a very good product but it doesn't have a lot power. It gets the job done. Battery life last about 30 minutes so make sure you have a extra battery handy or finish real quick. It's good not wrapping cords up after a job. August 16, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Ryboi Blower It is light weight and ever easy to use, but the battery does not last long at all, you have to recharge the battery a lot. August 16, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good but short battery life I like everything about this except the battery life. It is easy to use, light weight, arrived very quickly. It does a very good job of blowing off the leaves from our deck. The only problem is the battery life is much shorter than I expected. I blow off an 18x24 foot deck each morning and it lasts 3-4 days. Otherwise excellent. August 23, 2016
