I understand that there is a specific concrete bag mix for using with a melamine form to make a concrete counter top. If this is not the correct mix, do you carry the correct mix?

Answer:
It will take 4.2 bags of the 80 lb Crack resistant to fill this area. So you will need 5 bags of material. You can you our concrete mixes on projects that are 2" and greater ion depth. But they cannot be used less than 2" in a slab application.

Customer Reviews

Rated 2.0 out of 5 by 6 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Horrible material. Teriable finish look. Teriable to work with. I purchased 45 bags to do a side walk. The square footage advertised on the bag is inaccurate. It's extremely hard to finish and make look like normal concrete. Worst product posiable to youse. Dosnt Harden like normal concrete. July 31, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by I don`t believe it! This stuff is junk. It says foot traffic in 24 hours and vehicle traffic in 72 hours. I mixed one 80 lb. bag with 4 qts. water. The little project took 1 and half bags. I mixed it well. I have done quite a bit of concrete work over the past 30 years. After 48 hours this stuff fell apart .removing the forms.I did a small slab "1 ft 6 inch by 2ft.3 inches 3 and 1 half inches deep. when it started falling apart removing the forms I grabed it with my bare hands and it crumbled. This Stuff should not be sold to anyone.I wasted my time and we all know time is money. If I was still a young kid I would be tempted to return it to home depot through their window.Do you at home depot test this stuff? It has no features or performance. March 5, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not enough protland, or just poor mixing at factory? I have purchased more than 50 bags of this product, and the quality varies all over the place, but definitely tends towards "poor" rather than fair or good. Some bags have a higher proportion of gravel than others, and a few bags have had a bunch of unmilled fiberglass (big masses of fiberglass thread, rather than short fibers). Some bags have had a bunch of (carbon black? finish additive?) that floated to the surface of the mix when mixed with water, most do not. Recently, the bags have always been lacking in Portland cement. When mixed, rather than looking the typical slight greenish-gray of a good mix, the slurry looks "dirty" (brownish), and is nigh unto impossible to finish properly unless you add Portland to the mix. I have been doing that (adding Portland), but since Lowe's has started maintaining their stock better, I started using their crack-resistant concrete, and haven't run into the same quality issues as of yet. I don't know if Sakrete is "shorting" the more expensive ingredients (Portland, and additives) or just not mixing each batch enough, but I'm not finding any bags that appear to be "better than average", so my guess would be the former, rather than the latter. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Absolute garbage Was using to cast a piece; concrete simply did not have enough cement in the mix. Cured piece easily crumbles in my fingers. I've mixed a lot of bags of cement; have never had a single problem. Have even had bags cure in foggy weather with no mixing. Maybe it was a bad batch, but it cost me a lot of labor and money to redo my project. February 19, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not Stucco Discription says this stuff is stucco. Really ? Read the bag! January 9, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by great staff! Used it under my deck and created a water way for rain water, worked great! My kids like to use area to ride their bikes now. July 27, 2009
