Answer:
Faucet holes are drilled directly into the counter top behind the copper sink. Since the apron sink sticks our aprox 2.5" you will have plenty of space behind the sink.

I have worked with copper a few times and effected a verdigris color on some salmon I made, but that method wouldn't work for a sink (a bit on the poisonous side). How can I turn the sink green? (Can you tell I loved all of Boston's ancient copper roofs and gutters and downspouts?)

Have you ever touched verdigris? You know it rubs off on things like people, clothes, etc.? Are you sure you want that? When it's natural, it isn't evenly verdigris all over, either. It would also void the warranty of the sink. It would also void the warranty of the sink. However, if you are set on allowing it to go to a verdigris finish, you could remove the 'antique' finish(most likely copper cleaner would do it) then never clean the sink and it will naturally change, having verdigris in spots & the rest would be dark brown & dull. If you just want the 'look' of verdigris then I'd suggest buying a cheap, cheap sink and painting it 'verdigris'. Both options will require work and the latter will need to be repeated, repeatedly. Now, I'm a fan of the verdigris look on outdoor statues, etc., but I would not recommend doing that to this sink. It really does look beautiful over time. I've had mine for over 2 years now and still love it. Read Less

If you want to turn copper green, the simplest way is vinegar. First clean the copper with Wrights Copper Cream to make the sink very bright and shiny like a new penny. Then spray vinegar on the sink in an even coat and let it dry. I've found apple cider vinegar works great, but any cooking vinegar should work. Yes! The Adams Farmhouse Apron Front has a drain size of 3.5 inches. You can use either the TDB35-AC for a basket or the TDD35-AC for use with an InSinkErator disposal. You can find both right here on Home Depot.com

I tried asking the manufacturer that question & I was given the impression that copper doesn't have 'gauges' like steel sinks do. My concern had been that I didn't want a 'loud' sink like you get with the cheaper grade of steel sinks. If that's your concern as well, this is a wonderful sink and is no 'louder' than an expensive steel sink. This is a good, solid, beautiful sink. It will scratch, though. As Read More

We use a United States standard gauge measurement of 16 gauge. Many companies make it look like their sinks are thicker by using a non standard European gauge standard.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful Sink !!! This sink is the Main focus in my kitchen !!! A Beautiful Sink ! I dont have any problems with it turning green. It does turn green if your not one to keep after dishes April 4, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by It's ok It's an ok sink that's made of a decent gauge copper however i can see dents happening quite easy if a pot or pan is dropped in the sink. It did not have any shipping damage when it arrived and was very well packaged. August 31, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Happy, happy, happy Happy, great product at a great price delivery was fast easy to install I would buy it again August 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful copper sink The box this copper sink was shipped in was extremely sturdy and it was very well packed. The copper sink is very well made and so far has required very little care and maintenance. We leave dishes in it overnight and seldom dry it out and it has not discolored. We weren't going to splurge on this sink, but so far am very glad we did as it has become the main focal point in our kitchen. We were also going to purchase the copper rack that goes in the sink so dishes would't sit on it, but did not end up purchasing that piece as we have not seen any need to. July 6, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by New kitchen It arrived on time not a scratch or dent. Perfect condition. Haven't got to use it yet, as we are waiting for our counter tops. August 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Makes the kitchen I was first a little hesitant to have a copper sink as I was concerned of the upkeep and the looks, now having it in full operation I would not have it any other way. This sink transformed my kitchen from nice to spectacular. Easy to keep clean and great to look at. August 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Copper Sink The delivery was efficient and in a timely manor. I love the sink in person!!! Very spacious! July 27, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I remodeled my kitchen around this sink! My house has a rustic design so I knew I wanted to use a copper farmhouse sink in the kitchen remodel. Read, researched and looked at many and found this excellent sink at Home Depot. As others have stated, a little unsure about the quality because of the low price, but it has far exceeded my expectations. It is the centerpiece of the kitchen and is everyone's favorite part of our remodel. If you fully understand that this sink's patina will continue to change, just as a copper penny does, then you will not be disappointed. It is stunning!! I do think that the recommended sink drain is a bit on the bright side for this sink, but I kept it anyway. January 6, 2014
