Customer Questions & Answers

countertop?

Can this be built in like a full size dishwasher?
Asked by: russell
Built in, no, not really, "permanently" attached to regular plumbing, yes. Although you could plumb it in AND build a shelf the right size to hold it, but it wouldn't be attached to the cabinet, just sitting within it.

Can the dishwasher connect directly to plumbing?

I love the size, but I would like to hid under the counter. That would make it difficult to connect to the faucet. Is it possible to connect directly to plumbing like a regular dishwasher?
Asked by: jbowd
Yes. I did this and have been running it as a "built-in" for over two years perfectly. Far better than tying up your faucet for entire wash cycles. You can easily adapt the fill hose fitting on the back to stainless inlet hose tapped off the hot water feed under your sink cabinet (make sure to add a shutoff for this extra line), and the drain hose can dump into a special tail piece right (with an angled, baffled "t") between the sink drain and the P-trap. Of course this means that the dishwasher needs to sit close to the sink, but that's generally where you'd want it when loading dirty, wet dishes anyway.

My wall cabinet is exactly 17.2 in from the counter top. Will it fit and if not can you cut the bottom of the cabinet?

Asked by: Blueindian
No. The specs list this as 17.25" tall so it would be 'just' too tight to fit.

Countertop Dishwasher in White with 6 wash cycles is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 139.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from A very successful purchase.....I love it!! The dishwasher was easy to connect, the instructions were clear as to cycles and such and troubleshooting....not that I've needed that at this point. I didn't install it on the counter top as it's designed to be. I installed it beneath the counter like a regular dishwasher would be, but first I built a platform for it to sit on. The measurements in the catalog description were vital for this as I only had a bit of space to use. I used a hole saw to drill a hole in the counter top to run the hoses through to the sink and it works beautifully in this installation. It's much quieter running than I expected it to be--you can barely hear it at all. Over all, I'm very pleased with it--it does a great job!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this machine. Love this machine. Easy to use controls. Multiple setting choices handle any needs. Easy to fill dispensers. Quiet - I even opened the door once and got hit with a short spray water because I didn't think it was running. Double bottom in part of silverware rack so forks can be loaded with tines toward the spray for best cleaning without poking through is an excellent idea. Rack slides in and out easily. Handles heavier weight items easily. Everything I've would want in a small dishwasher.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does everything I want it to do! Dishes come out clean. Love the catch filter inside so no need to rinse them first. Small pots also fit. I can fit for a family of 5 with no problem minus the pots.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I was looking for. Perfect little dishwasher for an apartment. I live alone so it's more than enough for me. Does a fine job at cleaning my dishes. And it's extremely simple to hook up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This dishwasher is great! I love this little dishwasher. It cleans dishes just as well if not better than even the most expensive perminent under the counter dishwashers. You have to pay attention to the measurements online and measure before you buy. I have a small kitchen and it just barely fit under the counter. If you take the time to load, you can get quite a few dishes clean in just one load. Study the booklet. Everything fits where it's suppose to. It does not dry however, but I just leave the door open and slide out the rack to let them drip dry over night. I'm a disabled single girl and was able to set it up myself in minutes although I did need help lifting it as it is rather heavy. I"ve been using it now for a couple of weeks and this dishwasher has made my life so much easier. Thanks Home Depot!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little dish washer for a small home For one or two people this is a great little dish washer. I love the quick connect to the sink. I keep it in a small kitchen table that I use for a prep station. I usually wash three or four plates, bowls, and glasses at a time. I do my pots and pans in a seperate load and you have to get a little creative loading this little thing. I highly recomend it for apartments or duplexes that do not have a dish washer. My dishes are always very clean with this thing. I do not recomed for a large family. 1-2 person family, it works great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic I am a single 68 year old man. UPS delivered "God" to me in the form of this dishwasher. Other than requiring help to lift my dishwasher every thing assembled easily. All the parts were in a sealed plastic bag and everything was there. Before using the unit I took my time reading the directions. It is quiet and it does a great job. It is God in disguise ! I will revisit this review and make an update if I have problems. I did choose to purchase the extended warranty for $50.00 No more dishwashing for this old buzzard........

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This product is really great for single people. I love the dishwasher it has only one downfall. If you have 10" plates they will not fit in the dishwasher. Since most dish sets have 10" plates that can be a problem. Since I use the smaller plate it is ok for me. Does a great job cleaning, Makes my life a lot easier. For me it holds about 3 days worth of dishes. But if you want to be able to wash dishes and pots and pans it would probably need to be used every day. I am strickly a microwave and Georgeman cook so I don't have that problem.
