Gretchen Taupe Linen Side Chair (Set of 2) is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Elegant pair of chairs These chairs come with just a little assymbly needed. The legs are in a zippered pouch on the bottom of the chair and just require the included Allen wrench to assymble. It only took about 20-30 minutes to assymble both chairs following the instructions. Once assembled they look great and are comfortable to sit in. These chairs add a touch of elegance to any light blue color with silver accents match any decor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great chairs, very easy to assemble and no extra tools required I had these chairs both assembled in under 20 minutes. They come together in one box without the legs attached, wrapped nicely in protective cloth bags. At first, I was a little confused because I could not find the legs in the box. Then, I realized they were located in a zippered compartment on the bottom of the chair! This was all explained very clearly in the instructions manual, which was also located in the zippered compartment… it didn’t take me long to figure out where the rest of chair was, though! These chairs come with everything you need to assemble them, including the Allan wrench. They were easy to assemble leaning forward on the floor (with the seat front and back top on the floor) and sitting in front of them. My only complaint is that the instructions were not very clear. The images in the instructions were not very detailed, so it was difficult to tell which legs go where, and in which orientation. The legs are labeled with stickers with letters, so that was helpful. As far as the direction they point, the back legs are curved significantly—make sure they point back away from the chair. The front legs are curved very slightly (I actually didn’t notice at first, and installed them backwards) and make sure those point outward to either side. I noticed a good way to verify the legs are in the correct orientation: There are two holes on the legs with threaded tubes inserted into them, and the threads are only visible from one side of the legs (they only go part of the way through the hole). Make sure the tubes are farthest away from where the bolt enters when the legs are inserted into the chair: The bolt enters through the chair structure, through the hole in the leg, then finally into the threads. The instructions also asked not to fully tighten all the bolts and first check that the chair legs are level. They did not tell me how to fix levelness should the chair legs not be level, so I didn’t feel this step was very well explained. I found that when tightening all the bolts, the chairs ended up being level on their own. Overall, these are great chairs. They look lovely on either side of the sliding glass door in my dining room, and will be very useful for additional chairs should I have more people over for dinner than my table set has. Now I can store “extra” chairs as part of the room’s décor. They are nice quality as well. I did not see any crooked stitches or grommets, and they were uniform in color. These are very easy to assemble—again, I had them together in under 20 minutes by myself—so if you’re looking for nice upgrade to your room without the fuss, I highly recommend these.
