3 inch wheels cut very well/ the downside is that they grind down very quickly requiring a new grinding wheel after every tow or three cuts.

I used this to cut a metal bar stool in half. It did the job, but by the time I finished the wheel diameter went from 3inches down to 1 or so (barely past the tool depth). It worked, but you'll go through a lot of them if you have a medium or large sized project

used it for wood only until today. the metal blade works good - bot not for long! Since these blades are not cheap to begin with, it's a real bummer that you have to replace them after just cutting one pipe. what's up with the expiration date on the blades?

I am cutting a thin steel sheet into 8 6" x 6" square cuts I need to make. The wheel made it through 1 of the squares I have to cut before it was worn down to a nub.

I gave it a try to cut really thin steel plate into 3 ft. strips and it disappeared in less than two strips! Not even 5 feet and it's a gauge 28 sheet. I mean, it's such a thin plate that it's hard to find one.
To finish cutting the second plate I had to bend it, and then finish it... with a Dremel rotary tool, whose cutting disk handled the job much better!
So, the saw disk is worn out with the same plate that the rotary tool disk can cut without problems?!
it's a disaster

Worked perfect, we were cutting off metal spindles for a handrail and these did the job with no problem.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by ATG7 A failure with metal...
This "saw" came with my tool, and I used it for cutting plastic pipe with ease. But, when I used it for cutting simple, thin-gauge garage door opener angle iron, well, with even propping up the metal well, the saw shattered and it could not handle the metal. Sadly, this was one of the reasons why I got this tool...to cut simple, thin metal. I am not a tool or handyman "novice"...so I know how to use tools. Sadly, this one blade, when I counted on it for metal (as mentioned on it) missed the mark.
