Answer:
I use a regular paint brush for corners and edges near grass. I use the wide pan and roller made specifically for driveway sealing.

Answer:
First of all, do not use Clear-Seal over acid-based stains, 2-part epoxies or oil-based paints.
We recommend using a roller or pump sprayer-- 1/4” nap for smooth surfaces, 3/8” nap for rough or porous surfaces. Apply in light, even coats NOT heavy coats.

Answer:
Yes. Clear-Seal is a water-based sealer that is formulated to work over 1-part water-based coatings. It can be used on bare concrete. Smooth concrete should be etched prior to using Clear-Seal for best adhesion.

Answer:
Dear baldbandito,
If applied according to manufacturer's instructions and sealed over a one-part water-based coating, Clear-Seal will resist hot tire pick up. Please also make sure surface is prepped thoroughly. Thank you!

Rated 3.8 out of 5 by 24 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Doesn't work very well. NOT water proof. Stay away. I bought this to use in my garage after I stained it. I followed the directions and put 2 coats down after I stained my garage floor. I waited over 2 months before driving a car on it. Within a week of parking my car on it a little water got on the floor. The next day the seal had bubbled and cracked. This product is definitely NOT water proof like it says. I wish I spent a little more and purchased a better quality sealer. July 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This is the 2nd year that I have sealed my stamped concrete with this product. So, yes, I like it and it works very well. It's easy enough to apply. I do it myself. I am a 63 year old female. I purchased the roller and pan specifically for driveway sealing. I simply role it on the driveway. I also use a paintbrush to paint on the sealant in corners and along the edges near grass. It dries pretty quickly, but I allow it to cure for a few days before driving on it. I will use this sealant again next year. October 25, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to work with but..... I've used this product once before and was very pleased with the outcome. However I just finished seal coating my stamped cement driveway and I've had some areas turn white as it dries instead of clear. Apparently it's very important that you use very thin coats to ensure it will turn clear. October 26, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Thought this was a good product I purchased two gallons for my stamped concrete patio. I power washed to ensure it was clean and let it dry for several days. I used a leaf blower to ensure the patio was clean right before I used the product. I used a sprayer with a fine mist and it worked really well. It went down as a white milky liquid and then it dried within several hours. I put down a second coat and let it dry as well and it came out clear and glossy. I was very happy with the product at this time. After 5 days of 80-85 degree sunny weather, we had rain for the next 3 days. After the second day of rain, my stamped concrete turned milky white again from the rain water! Once the weather cleared and the sun came back out, about 3/4 of my patio turned clear again, but some of the sealant remained milky white and did not clear. What do I do now?? September 27, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product We used this to seal the concrete underneath where the interior walls were being framed up. Even when water gets in the basement it is obvious that the cement is not soaking it up and thus the wood dries out so much faster. Will be using the rest to seal a lot more floor once we have the rest of the house built and can keep the water out! August 9, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not bad for water based Better then expected, but not as good as solvent based. August 9, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Stay Away! I purchased this to put on my stamped concrete steps. I applied two thin coats and now have white milky spots all over my beautiful steps. I contacted customer service for Sealant-Krete to see if they will help fix this since my steps look horrible now! I followed all the application instructors with cleaning and prep and the proper drying time. Moisture was also not an issue. I will update my review if seal-Krete stands behind their product and makes this right. If they don't I would advise everyone to stay away from these producers because it is a nightmare trying to have this corrected! April 29, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Worked beautifully to shine floor We had no trouble applying this product. After one coat, we could see the shine, but decided to give the concrete, paint-flecked floor a second coat. Now, it glows and looks very much like a granite surface! We're getting several good comments from people who see it for the first time. We are anxious to use it again after we paint the concrete rec room floor. February 21, 2012
