Customer Questions & Answers

Will this hold up to red pavers?

I have used Eagle brand sealer on my driveway pavers and it maybe last 5 to 6 months. I live Florida with plenty of sunshine and humidity.
Asked by: Jacka
Not sure, I live in AZ and its peeling off from the intense sun. Only been on concrete for less than a year. It might soak into pavers better. Also very slippery when wet!

5 gal. Gloss Clear Seal Concrete Protective Sealer is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 17.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cloudy Be careful not to put this on over damp concrete, let it dry out for a few days after washing. If you don't, it will have clouded areas that don't let the color show very well. Don't over apply it either!!! I'm in the process of removing all of it now which is a ten on the difficulty scale just to get rid of the milky white appearance in spots.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Clear Seal-concrete sealer Extremely easy to use. Product went a long way, two coats on 1,100 sq ft driveway and only used 4 gallons. When dried was a beautiful sheen. Clean up was a breeze. Now we just need to see how long it lasts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pleased Very happy with single coats results. I used on a paved pool deck and front porch quarry tile. Here's a couple of tips: One, put a strainer on the intake hose of your sprayer. This will prevent bits of skin getting sucked up and blocking it. Or just roller it on. Second, if you do spray wear an old pair of pants. I didn't and ended up with dried sealer over the bottom half of my legs. Let me tell you folks, it was an awkward moment when my wife caught me in the shower with her ladyshave right after..

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't Use On Brick - Turns It White! This is the worst product I've ever used. It turned my brick white - even worse in the rain. See the photos.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use and apply I used a roller and paint tray to apply the sealer. It went on easily and took only an hour or so to finish a big job. I was going to apply a second coat but after I finished found it wasn't necessary. Also, the product went a lot further in applying it than I originally thought it would. Good value.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from OK Stuff -- Does not yellow - Filter before applying 5-gallon bucket arrived in a box. I poured it directly into an old (but reliable) high-end deck sprayer. The test spray clogged almost immediately. I poured the selant into a new sprayer and it clogged too. After opening the 5 gallon I found a "skin" inside the mix. Somehow air had gotten into the container at the factory and dried inside the container. I spend two hours completely cleaning the two sprayers and found large pieces of dried sealant clogging to nozzles and spray wands. One sprayer still doesn't spray right. After straining the sealant with a cheapo strainer from the dollar store, project went smoother. I used a roller to spread out the excess sealant to prevent "pooling". Stuff dries quickly and leaves a glossy, wet look. After a month, it still looks glossy. Stuff seems to dry with a gritty texture, to prevent slippage. Low rating due to poor quality control - factory should have sealed the container before a "skin" developed inside. 5 Gallon batch is cheaper than 5 one-gallon jugs, but stuff still didn't achieve excellent "value" rating.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good stuff for the $ Only 4 stars because not sure how long it will last....900 sq ft and used 2 coats and still have %25 left over.... Put on stamped concrete and it looks really good with a nice glossy finish...,make sure to not puddle the product.... If you do it will leave white spots... I would use this product again
