About This Product

Q:Will the Female threads mesh perfectly with the male threads on your Home Depot EVERBILT SKU# 891450 (hose barb listed as 1/2 MIP male thread)? I seek to connect threads male to female and thus build a 1/2 inch hose barb to 1/2 inch Pex B adapter.

          I bought this as a preventive measure. My home has 1/2" copper water pies but a 3/4" PVC service...
          I bought this as a preventive measure. My home has 1/2" copper water pies but a 3/4" PVC service line. I don't know how to solder copper fittings. So I'm going to use this to connect the 3/4" PVC service line to the 1/2 copper line using 1/2 PEX tubing in between if I ever have too. It's not carried in stock. Only available by special order. I got mine!

          Loose threads
          Incredibly loose threads, really rattles around. Wouldn't hold air or water even with putty. Resorted to silicone gasket. Still worried about it blowing off at some point. Also had brass shavings inside left over, so look carefully before use. Works in a punch, but get a different brand if you can.
