Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by JoyfulinMN Great Product!
We installed the tiles in our basement for a playroom. We created a checkerboard pattern with two different colors. It turned out great! The backing came off with no problems and the tile glue stuck to the concrete. The only hard part of the installation was keeping the nap of the tiles in the same direction, other than that it was a breeze.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Kris A great product that was very easy to install
I used these tiles in a tool/furnace room with a very poor vinyl floor that had some dry stains that had bled up from underneath so I couldn't use regular vinyl tiles or the same thing would happen. I didn't do anything special to cover or prepare the vinyl floor other than clean it, but just laid these carpet tiles right on top of it because they won't show any irregularities as another vinyl tile would do. They were very easy and fast to install, stick really firmly, look great with no issues about "bleeding" from underneath, fit snugly together and are easy to cut when you need to go around something. They're also easy to keep clean (although I did order a dark grey) just vacuuming regularly, are so tough they'll probably last forever and the price was very reasonable. Anyway, they really suited my purpose and I'd highly recommend them.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by toolo4sno Good, inexpensive carpet tile
I have had installed for about 1.5 months now and am very pleased. I installed these in a 400sqft area of our finished basement directly on concrete (concrete that had vinyl tile and other junk on it years ago; so it wasn't virgin). I went with smoke/blue checkerboard patter with alternating grain between colors. Looks really good for the cost. The padding is pretty minimal, but beats stepping on ceramic or concrete. Have seen other carpet tiles at a local hdw store that were a third of the cost, but they were a third of the thickness. There are cheaper options out there, but I found the Shaw CTs to be a happy medium. I couldn't find anything under $2/sqft that I liked besides this stuff.
Installation: Pretty straight forward. Make sure to acclimate your tile to the temps in your room before installing. I did have issues at first with the adhesive peeling off with the backing. To remedy I would get a corner/edge started then pull very fast while holding on with my finger tips/pads (to not tamper with the adhesive too much). I would pull directly along the tile (don't pull perpendicular to the tile). Treat it like a bandaid on your softest and hairiest skin. Even though the direction arrows are on the backing; it's pretty easy to tell the grain direction. Tiles went on easily, but I did have to shave edges periodically to get the corners to line up. They are all definitely not 12"x12" square, but it was pretty negligible. Not exactly easy to cut. My shears would get gummed up. A lot of time was spent cleaning and prepping the concrete surface, but that isn't unique to these tiles. I did notice after 5 or so boxes in that the color matching is not identical from box to box (smoke especially). If you know you are going with these and returning them isn't an issue I would open all boxes and mix them all up. I think this is good advice for any tile floor, but particularly with this one. You can very easily remove a tile to reposition if needed. The adhesive works well for shear (side to side) force, but pulls up easy enough to replace a stained tile or one that needs adjusting. I didn't rent a roller, but instead walked over the tile as much as I could. I have about 1/8 to 1/4" gap at the walls.
Usage: I have had one Red Pop spill on these and with some foaming carpet cleaner it seems to have all come off. Vacuuming between the bumps is challenging. Our Dyson sometimes can't get stuff in the valleys. I was concerned the Dyson would tear up the carpet as it has chewed on area rugs, but this hasn't happened. The Shaw CTs feel a little coarse and scratchy on bare feet.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Mary Tiles work perfectly over old linoleum in a closet.
The product worked perfectly and looks good. It was a little difficult to get ahold of the plastic film on the back to pull off . . . once you got enough of it between your fingers, it came off okay . . .just hard to get it started. Otherwise, the job went smoothly and didn't take long. I used good kitchen sheers to cut the squares which was easier than with a untility knife . . .just cut along the ridge line. Would buy this product again. Not sure I would like a whole room though where the ribbing run at 90 degrees to each other . . . makes more of a pattern than i would like in a big room.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by LNormand Awesome!
Where do I start...We just bought a house that has the 9x9 industrial asbestos tile in the basement. We wanted a quick and easy solution to covering them. These tiles were the perfect idea. They stuck to the tile great...they've been in for a month with no peeling corners and no problems at all. They look amazing (I did greay and black tile for a checker pattern) and were super easy to install! Took my fiance and I about 4 hours (including making all our cuts) for around 350 sq/ft. The only semi-complaint I have is that one whole box of tile gave us quite a headache when trying to remove the plastic from the adhesive back. Other than that one box we had no problems. I would definetly recommend purchasing these!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by JennOregon These are great!
We bought the smoke color and the chocolate brown and did a checkerboard pattern. They look great. These are not intended to be very padded, so I would think twice before using them in a family room or other room where comfort and cushioning is important. We used them in a laundry room and basement storage area and it's the perfect application. Much nicer than walking on cold basement cement floor, but not so nice that I am afraid of a little dirt on them. And it is nice to be able to replace a square if you ruin one. Highly recommend for utility use!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by devslev Good for the price, longevity somewhat up in the air
The carpet squares were easy to install, though the backing that covers the adhesive is somewhat hard to remove (my son had to remove them for me).
The quality is Average, I've had an office chair with wheels on the carpet (with no pad, yeah, I know) and the nap has begun to compress and shed a bit (after 4 weeks of use).
The look of the tiles is a bit indoor/outdoor style, not very much padding. However, It really did fix up our basement office room.
The ease of installation and the price and the quality, though, balance out and I think this is a good carpet tile solution for a secondary-type room.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by MacR Product is what I expected.
Carpet is what I expected and what I needed. Excellent for putting down 1 foot by 1 foot carpet squares where a one-piece carpet wouldn't do.
Carpet looks very good and I am satisfied. The only 2 issues I had were that I felt that I had to add a few dabs of Elmer's wood glue to the corners of each tile, because I wasn't convinced that the peel & stick carpet would stay down. The other issue is that you need to be aware that pulling off the plastic backing on each tile is not very easy. I used a razor blade to pick at any of the corners so that I could then grab a small piece of plastic that pulled away from the tile after pulling it with the razor blade. After doing a few tiles it wasn't very difficult.
Overall I was very satisfied with the carpet especially for the value.
