Zippers and Door Width

This question is from 12 ft. x 20 ft. x 8 ft. Round Garage in Grey

Do the doors zipper down each side and remain connected on top? Also, your site has conflicting dimensions for the door width. On the specs it says 72", which seems small. On the shed drawing it says 9' 10" wide. So which is it?

Answer:
The doors do remain connected on the top, and zip down both sides of each door. Not sure of the door width, but it's easily wide enough to drive a large SUV though--height will be a challenge first for taller vehicles.

Answer:
The "door" is actually a flap with zippers on each side. The "flap" at the top remains attached to the endwall panel.
The door tapers from bottom to top. It's maybe 72" across at the very top, with the 9'-10" at the bottom. The ROPS on my tractor fits perfectly with space to spare, and it is 74" out to out.
You can see the tapered zippers on my photo.

Answer:
The zippers do remain connected at the top and you roll the door up if you want it open.
The zippers are angled. The opening is 72" at the top, but 114" at the bottom. Another option is to not install one or both end covers. Mine is near my wood boiler and I left that end off to provide more clearance. If I repurpose it later that end can still be installed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast Assembly, Sturdy Structure I had looked for a "good" structure to shelter my utility tractor over the winter. The model here - per ShelterLogic - is the heavier duty version - not the regular light-duty model. Heavier piping, solid rigidity, dual end doors. Prior to the first major snow of 2012, I (alone) had the frames assembled within two hours, another hour to erect the frames, had two people assist in erecting th end walls and covering tarp and final connections. Six hours of labor - and a snow-resistant, stable structure. We received 15" of snow - heavy type - and the snow slides off the roof (you do need to clear regularly - shouldn't be allowed to build up), and zippers work excellently. Top notch, good instructions, quality parts, everything included - High marks. For assembly in colder climates - I recommend assembling the frames in a garage (heat) easier for your fingers to work with nuts and bolts. Also easier to have the end walls pre-assembled then simply walk out and tilt up into position. Highly recommend.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Seems nice, directions are the WORST Just put this up today. Took me about 6 hours by myself, but I had all the supports pre built in my garage one day while it was raining. Directions are the worst I've seen on a product. Some parts just have pictures, some have just words with no part numbers for bolts, etc. No mention of the front door, when to install it, nothing. They mention the back door, which the directions refer to as an end cap, but instructions are confusing and there is no end cap. Just another zippered door, which basically means someone can come through the woods, unzip the back, and take all my stuff without me ever noticing the door was open. Not a great product, but it wil keep my stuff out of the rain..I hope..

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Instructions could be much better. The overall product is of good quality. The openings on the front and back don't go all the way to the way to the ground the way the sides do so some water can get into the front and back walls/doors. Instructions were really cryptic and some steps left out. The frame is very well done and heavy duty for a tent. Overall a good value for the money, just be ready for some frustration putting it together.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Contractor Bought it for equipment storage and material overflow. Like everyone else has said...instructions are virtually useless. Already had 1 snow storm and frankly I'm disappointed. There isn't enough bracing overhead along the length and it collects a lot more snow than I expected! I would still buy another 1 but would plan on adding more lateral bracing as I am doing presently on this one. All said and done....it's a little steep on the price for what you get.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product It took a couple of weeks to get the shelter hear, but once delivered I was able to erect it in about three hours by myself. As I read in other reviews, the written directions are not clear, but there are many videos online that make things easy to understand. The shelter is of good quality and I hope it will stand up to the snow here in Maine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great materials quality, design could use a little work I bought this round-top model after my last peak-roofed ShelterLogic shelter was crushed in a blizzard. The quality of the materials and the round-top structural design on this one seems much more robust, and the round roof gives a surprisingly more spacious feel on the inside. I find the more subtle gray color more suitable to blending into a wooded background than the bright tan/yellow of other ShelterLogic models...which I'm pretty sure can be seen from space. My only complaint thus far are the confusing/misleading/unclear instructions for assembling the end panels, and the fact that the kit contains no practical method whatsoever for keeping the unzipped doors open. You will need to engage your own engineering skills for this part. I just assembled this one a few months ago, so we'll still have to see if it stands up to harsh winter conditions--honestly, it looks promising.
