In your previous answers, you said this tandem breaker can be used in a G2020MB1100 breaker panel. I thought the G2020MB1100 can only support 20 circuits, does using a tandem overload the box? I current have 3 tandem breakers in this box and my home inspector noted that it doesn't meet code. thanks

I'm confused. On May 19th, 2017 the Siemens' expert seems to be saying that one can use a NC breaker in a 20/20 panel. In the other posts, the answer seems to be 'no'. Is the G2020MB1100 a 50-year old panel? Is that why it's OK? That would make sense to me, so I want to be 100% sure I understand and that this isn't just a difference of opinion between different Siemens reps... Thanks!

We apologize for any confusion. Although Q2020NC would physically fit a G2020MB1100, it would not be approved. Non-CTL breakers are for use only in panels manufactured before 1968. The G2020MB1100 would be from the 1990's and early 2000's. It is a 20 space 20 circuit panel for which duplex circuit breakers are not approved.

Good Afternoon, The Q2020NC is Non-CTL. For replacement use only in panels manufactured before 1968.

I have a g3030mb1200 panel are these breakers made for it? If not is there anyway to increase the spaces properly. What can happen if i did use these?

Hello Brian, Unfortunately this panel will not take tandem (2 in 1) breakers. The catalog logic is: -There are 30 spaces and 30 circuits - if a tandem breaker is used, more circuits are tied up than what this was made for and will overload busing - if it was 30 spaces 60 circuits, you could use a tandem breaker in every space There should also be a label on the unit stating which breaker types are compatible (example QP).
